NYELES: the hiking shorts made for hot days in the mountains

There are those summer outings when you take off your trousers as soon as you reach the car park, and your shorts need to withstand both your backpack rubbing against them and some rough boulder sections. NYELES was designed for days like these, whether hiking or exploring the city.

Stretchy, durable fabric for rugged terrain

The 145 g/m² fabric, made from recycled ECONYL polyamide blended with elastane, moves with your stride on steep climbs and over rocky ground without ever pulling at your thighs. The PFAS-free water-repellent treatment sheds a brief shower or moisture from tall grass, while the UV protection comes in handy on long stretches exposed to the sun.

Pockets designed for hands-free hiking

The high waist, elasticated at the back and secured with hidden snaps, stays in place beneath your backpack’s hip belt. Two hand pockets, two side cargo pockets with Velcro closures, and a rear welt pocket let you carry a map, an energy bar, and your phone without feeling them shift around. The round embroidered logo on the right cargo pocket and the “one with nature” logo on the rear welt pocket discreetly sign off on the design.

Recycled ECONYL polyamide and stretch: a 145 g/m² fabric that can take a beating

NYELES fabric combines 86% recycled ECONYL polyamide and 14% elastane, with a weight of 145 g/m² that keeps it lightweight without sacrificing the abrasion resistance polyamide is known for. In practical terms, you can sit on a rock, grab a handrail, or brush against a backpack without worrying about the fabric. Elastane provides the stretch needed for long strides and steep traverses. ECONYL yarn is regenerated from fishing nets, textile scraps, and discarded carpets, making it a material derived from waste rather than virgin petroleum, with no loss of mechanical performance in the field.

PFAS-free water repellency and UV protection: two benefits for days spent outdoors

The water-repellent treatment applied to the fabric is formulated without PFAS. It does not make the shorts waterproof, but it makes water bead off during a brief shower, a crossing over wet scree, or a trail bordered by dew-laden grass, giving the lightweight fabric time to dry on its own. The fabric’s UV protection comes into play on long stretches in the open, across ridgelines, alpine pastures, and plateaus, where your legs stay exposed for hours. At 180 g, the shorts reflect their purpose: a garment you can wear all day or slip into your pack without giving the weight a second thought.

NYELES is a pair of women's shorts with a relaxed fit, allowing room through the thighs and preventing chafing during long strides or when climbing down. The high waist sits securely on the hips, so the shorts won't slip down under the weight of loaded pockets.

A fit that keeps up with your day

The elastic at the back of the waistband lets your waist breathe throughout the day and during meal breaks, while the hidden front snaps keep the look neat. The fabric's elastane moves with you without bouncing back.
