Did you know? In the ptarmigan, our totem animal, the plumage changes with the seasons. White in winter to escape predators, fluffier to fend off the cold: the bird adjusts its protection to the weather.

The JULEECE3 follows the same logic: it serves as the mid-layer, the one that retains body heat and regulates temperature during exertion.

The basics of the layering system, so you're never caught off guard:

Inner layer: breathable, it wicks sweat to the outside.
Mid-layer: insulating, it retains heat. This is the role played by the JULEECE3.
Outer layer: waterproof, windproof, and breathable, it blocks the elements.

Result: a versatile outfit that you adjust to your effort and the weather. You remove the mid-layer when climbing, put it back on when stopped. Layering is just that simple.

Manufacture

Making our mountain clothing with you is a habit at Lagoped. Since our beginnings, dialogue with professionals and mountain enthusiasts has guided every improvement, always with a goal of sustainability.

Recycled fleece has existed for a long time. Recycled fleece made in Europe is rarer, and that’s what makes the JULEECE3 special:

The recycled polyester comes from plastic bottles collected and recycled in Italy
The knitting takes place in Spain, in the Barcelona region
The final assembly is done in Hungary

The only exception to this European circuit: the elastane (8% of the material), which comes from South Korea. A step we are still looking to relocate in Europe.

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped compromises on nothing.

92% of the JULEECE3 is made from recycled polyester (r-PET), sourced from plastic bottles collected and recycled in Italy. This material eliminates the need for new petroleum extraction to produce virgin polyester.

The remaining 8% elastane is not currently recycled. We are working with our suppliers to increase this portion in future versions of this product.

Care

The JULEECE3 can be machine washed at 30°C with regular detergent (a mild or natural detergent is preferable). Fabric softener and bleach should be avoided as they damage the technical fibers. A gentle spin, normal rinse, and air drying are enough to keep it ready for the next outing.
