Climbing
Whether you’re on an early-morning approach or climbing a route in blazing sun, the top you wear next to your skin determines your comfort for the whole day. TANKTREK was built for outings where you sweat quickly and have neither the time nor the inclination to deal with fabric that clings.
Its 145 g/m² ECONYL polyamide knit is designed to transfer moisture: sweat is pushed to the outside of the fabric rather than trapped against your body, helping you avoid a chill when you stop at the top of a pitch. Lycra elastane provides the stretch needed for big arm movements, whether stemming or traversing.
The side mesh panels, made from 110 g/m² Newlife recycled polyester, improve ventilation along the flanks, where heat builds up under a pack or harness. Their pattern is created by sublimation, with no added bulk or abrasive print. Weighing just 80 grams, the tank top is easy to forget from the very first steps.

PERFORMANCES
ECONYL recycled polyamide stretch fabric, UPF 50+
TANKTREK applies the same logic as our technical base layers to a tank top: a lightweight 145 g/m² knit made from recycled ECONYL polyamide, which does not hold onto sweat but transfers it to the surface, where it evaporates. The garment dries during exertion instead of staying stuck to the skin. At 80 g in size M, it’s the piece for the hottest days, when even short sleeves feel like too much, or the first layer to wear under a technical shirt. Its knit is the same as that of the TEETREK T-shirt, knitted and dyed in Italy, with 10% elastane that lets it move with your shoulders without pulling. It also provides UV protection across the upper back.
Polyester side mesh panels, 64% recycled content
On a tank top, the sides are the area that stays covered and heats up. That’s why the TANKTREK has mesh panels on the sides: an open-knit fabric weighing 110 g/m², sheer enough to see through, that lets air circulate along the torso. That’s what sets a technical tank top apart from a basic one: ventilation is placed where the body needs it, rather than being achieved simply by removing fabric. This mesh, knitted in Isère from polyester that is 64% recycled, also features the sublimation-printed pattern without adding bulk. Designed for hiking in full sun and intense exertion in high temperatures, from coastal trails to summer mountain passes.
Did you know? The rock ptarmigan, our spirit animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend into the snow, it fluffs up its feathers when the cold sets in and smooths them down as soon as exertion warms it up. It constantly adjusts, never wearing more than necessary.
TANKTREK is the first link in this system: the base layer, worn next to the skin, whose sole job is to wick moisture away. Worn on its own in hot weather while climbing, it also slips under an insulating midlayer, such as a fleece or lightweight puffer, and then under a waterproof outer layer when the weather turns bad at altitude.
Fit & support
TANKTREK features an Active Fit cut, a close-fitting design made to stay in contact with the skin, which is essential for a base layer to wick sweat effectively. The fabric’s stretch follows the shoulder and shoulder blade without pulling when reaching for a high hold or planting poles on the ascent.
The tank top’s wide armholes leave your arms completely free and reduce chafing under backpack straps. Worn on its own in summer, it also slips under a fleece or technical jacket without adding bulk for the rest of the year, with the side mesh panels staying active even under a second layer.
Coupe Active Fit

Make your equipment last
