LAGOBELT2: the upcycled webbing belt that holds up your pants without you even thinking about it

You forget about a belt until the day it gives way mid-journey or the buckle comes undone on its own under your backpack. LAGOBELT2 was designed for the opposite category: the kind you buckle up in the morning and don't touch again all day.

Webbing from surplus stock

Its webbing is made from upcycled polyamide reclaimed from surplus stock in the European textile industry: rolls that had already been produced but never used, and would otherwise have sat in a warehouse or gone to waste. No new material was extracted to make it, addressing the biggest part of a textile product's environmental impact right from the start.

A metal buckle that stays put

The buckle is made of metal and engraved with the Lagoped logo. It adjusts to the desired length and locks onto the webbing through friction, with no notches or holes: adjust it to the millimeter, whether you're wearing mountain trousers or jeans in the city. Weighing just 120 grams, it slips into a bag without making a fuss.

PERFORMANCES

Strap made from 100% upcycled polyamide from deadstock, woven in the Loire region

An upcycled polyamide strap from dormant stock

The LAGOBELT2 is made from a strap that already existed: unused polyamide webbing from dormant stock, woven in the Loire and dyed in Haute-Vienne. We use it as is, avoiding the production of new material for something you wear every day. Polyamide has the qualities you want in an outdoor belt: it can handle rain and sweat, dries quickly and doesn’t stretch when tightened under a backpack waist belt. The metal buckle features the Lagoped logo. At 120 g, it works with both hiking trousers and everyday trousers. It is assembled in Hungary, and its logo is embroidered.

Engraved metal buckle: infinitely adjustable, 120 grams total

The LAGOBELT2 buckle is made of metal, not molded plastic, and features an engraved Lagoped logo. It holds the strap in place by applying pressure across its entire width, allowing for precise, millimeter-by-millimeter adjustment, unlike a notched belt, which locks into fixed lengths every two centimeters.

The whole belt weighs 120 grams, light enough to leave in a travel bag or hiking pack without giving it a second thought. The metal withstands repeated opening and closing, whether during a day of hiking or going through an airport security checkpoint, without loosening or deforming. This is the part that determines a belt’s actual lifespan, so it’s worth making it well.

Fit & support

LAGOBELT2 adjustment: a unisex belt with continuous adjustability

LAGOBELT2 is a unisex belt worn by both men and women, with no difference in model. It adjusts continuously using the metal buckle: no notches, no eyelets, so no annoying compromise between one hole being too tight and the next being too loose.

In practical terms, you can tighten it with one quick motion when you load up your jacket pockets, loosen it a little at lunch, and it stays in place. The polyamide strap remains flexible and flat under a backpack or a climbing harness, without adding bulk around the hips. It fits through the loops of mountain trousers just as easily as those of jeans or city chinos.

SIZE GUIDE

Make your equipment last
