A day sailing rarely starts with a dive and rarely ends dry. Between the sea spray, the sun beating down on deck, and the return to port for a drink on the terrace, you need a garment that dries quickly, offers protection, and can be worn all day without a second thought. KAJA was designed for just that.

UPF 50+ sun protection built into the fabric

The 125 g/m² recycled polyester fabric has a UPF 50+ rating, meaning it blocks the vast majority of UV rays that reach the skin. On the water, where the rays reflect and double your exposure, it provides real protection for your shoulders and thighs during the sunniest hours.

Details designed for real-world use

The built-in breathable mesh briefs eliminate the need for extra layers and speed up drying after a swim. The waistband adjusts with an elastic band and drawstring to keep the shorts in place when you jump into the water. A back patch pocket holds the essentials, like a key or banknote, when you head out for a walk along the waterfront.

The KAJA is designed for those days when you alternate between hiking trails and diving into an alpine lake. Its integrated liner is made of 63 g/m² open mesh from recycled polyester, which lets water drain away instead of holding it in: you get out of the water and the shorts dry much faster than regular underwear. This mesh also helps reduce chafing on the walk back. The outer fabric, made of 93% recycled polyester, weighs 125 g/m² and offers UPF 50+ protection, useful when you spend the day in swimwear. The waistband adjusts with elastic and a drawstring, and a patch pocket at the back lets you carry the essentials. The shorts weigh 170 g in size M and are made in Portugal.

The built-in breathable mesh brief is a detail that makes all the difference in use. Its open structure lets air and water circulate, significantly speeding up drying after swimming and avoiding the feeling of heavy fabric sticking to your skin once you're out of the water. It also means you don't need to wear underwear underneath, which saves valuable space when traveling light.

For support, the waistband combines elastic and a drawstring. The elastic moves with you, while the drawstring locks in the fit when it matters, as you come out of a dive or in the surf. A patch pocket at the back completes the design, keeping a key or bill secure while you walk.

KAJA comes in a regular fit, neither tight nor loose, with a leg length that falls above the knee. It's the kind of fit you forget you're wearing: roomy enough to sit on a boat deck or walk for a long time, yet secure enough to swim without the shorts doing their own thing.

The waist is adjusted with an elastic band and drawstring, so you can fine-tune the fit to suit your build and tighten it after swimming, when wet fabric tends to feel heavier.
