A steep climbing approach, a day hiking in blazing sun, a long-haul flight followed by a trek: MILVUS was designed for those moments when you want one pair of shorts that can handle it all, without having to layer cycling shorts underneath.

Built-in liner shorts that make uphill comfort a whole lot better

The liner shorts, knitted from recycled polyamide and elastane, hug your thighs without squeezing and prevent chafing on long approach hikes. Weighing just 146 g, the whole thing disappears from mind after the first few kilometers, and the 115 g/m² outer fabric dries quickly after a shower or a stream crossing.

Pockets you can still use with a harness or backpack on

Two front patch pockets and one at the back give you room to keep a topo map, snack bar, or phone close at hand without getting in the way of hip flexion. The two-way stretch fabric moves with you on big strides, high steps while climbing, and fast descents.

UPF 50+ protection achieved by the knit, with no chemical treatment

MILVUS's undershorts provide UPF 50+ sun protection that doesn't come from a finish applied to the fiber, but from the knit itself: the density and structure of the stitches block UV rays. The benefit is tangible: this protection doesn't fade with washing, unlike a chemical treatment that wears off. Whether you're spending a day on a south-facing wall or hiking at altitude, where radiation is more intense, it remains effective throughout the shorts' entire lifespan. The outer fabric, made of recycled polyamide and elastane, completes the protection by covering the thigh without adding weight, with the entire garment weighing just 146 g.

Built-in liner shorts and two-way stretch: one pair of shorts for everything

You’ll see the benefits of built-in liner shorts on your very first long outing: no more pulling on bike shorts underneath, no more seams chafing the inner thigh, and no more shorts riding up with a long stride. Knitted with recycled ECONYL polyamide and Lycra XTRA-LIFE, they retain their shape over time where standard elastane would stretch out. Both fabrics, outer and inner, stretch in two directions: a high step while climbing, a stride across a rocky ledge, or a fast-footed descent meet no resistance. The front and rear patch pockets remain accessible with your harness buckled, without creating bulk under the harness.

It constantly adjusts its protection, never wearing more than it needs.

MILVUS follows the same principle. It acts as an inner layer, worn next to the skin to manage moisture: its integrated shorts wick sweat outward instead of trapping it against the thigh. In warm weather, it’s all you need. When the weather turns, you can layer leggings or waterproof overtrousers over it without adding bulk.

MILVUS features an Active Fit cut, close-fitting but never compressive, designed for activities that put your legs to work: climbing, challenging hikes, and active travel days.

A dual-layer fabric that drapes just right

The outer shorts drape freely over the thighs, while the denser 175 g/m² integrated liner stays in place without riding up on climbs. The result: no fabric flapping around during a climbing move, and no chafing on the inner thighs during a long approach.

What to wear with them

Since MILVUS already has a layer that sits against the skin, you can wear it on its own. At the beginning or end of the season, it slips under lightweight tights or pairs with tall gaiters without adding bulk.
