ROKA: the long-sleeve T-shirt that stays on your skin all day

On an early-morning ridge-running approach, you set off bundled up, sweat on the climb, then stop at the foot of the route as the wind dies down. That's exactly when a base layer proves its worth. ROKA was designed for long days when you don't change clothes.

Lightweight knit that wicks moisture

Its 145 g/m² knit made from recycled polyamide and elastane moves sweat to the outside instead of trapping it against your skin. The fabric dries quickly, stays flexible, and doesn't stick to your back when you put your pack on again after a break.

Long sleeves and UPF 50+ sun protection

The long sleeves cover your forearms on a glacier, gravel ride, or exposed trail, with a UPF 50+ rating that means you don't have to reapply sunscreen every two hours. The chest logo is the only visible detail: nothing rubs under your pack straps or harness.

PERFORMANCES

ECONYL recycled polyamide stretch fabric, UPF 50+

145 g/m² and moisture transfer: the layer you forget about on the way up

A base layer is judged by how well it stays dry against the skin. ROKA's knit weighs 145 g/m², lightweight for a long-sleeved top, and is designed to move sweat to the fabric's surface, where it evaporates. In practical terms, during a sustained uphill climb on a ski tour, the top doesn't become waterlogged or leave you feeling cold during the transition. Recycled polyamide naturally absorbs very little moisture, which helps it dry faster than a cotton knit. Elastane keeps the knit close against the skin, which is essential for this transfer to work effectively, while the total weight remains just 165 g in the reference size.

UPF 50+: covered forearms on glaciers and gravel rides

On snow or at altitude, the sun hits twice: directly and by reflection. ROKA's UPF 50+ rating means the fabric lets only a tiny fraction of UV rays through across the entire covered area, and doesn’t lose its effectiveness when you sweat, unlike sunscreen that needs reapplying. Long sleeves are the simplest solution: cover your forearms and shoulders once and for all when you leave the refuge. The same goes for a gravel ride in July, when you want coverage that doesn’t make you overheat. The fabric remains lightweight and breathable, so you can keep your jersey on instead of taking it off at the first climb.

ROKA, the first layer in Lagoped’s three-layer system

Did you know? The rock ptarmigan, our totem animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend into the snow, it fluffs up its feathers to protect itself from the cold and constantly adapts to the temperature, never wearing more than it needs.

ROKA is the inner layer, the first layer, the one that touches the skin and determines how the rest of the system performs. Its role is not to keep you warm, but to wick sweat away from the body so that the insulating layer worn over it, a fleece or lightweight puffer jacket, can do its job. The waterproof, windproof outer layer goes on top. If the first layer retains moisture, the other two become ineffective: that’s why it needs to stay close to the body and be lightweight.

Fit & support

ROKA Active Fit cut: close-fitting without compression

ROKA is cut in Active Fit, a close-fitting men’s cut that follows your shape without squeezing. That’s what you want from a base layer: the fabric needs to touch your skin to wick away moisture, while still allowing you to move through a recovery or pedal stroke.

The knit’s elastane adds the stretch often missing from technical jerseys: the sleeves don’t ride up when you raise your arms, and your lower back stays covered when you lean over your bike. Worn on its own in mild weather, it also layers smoothly under a fleece or jacket, without adding bulk, even around the shoulders and armholes where bag straps tend to rub.

Coupe Active Fit

SIZE GUIDE

Make your equipment last
