On a gravel ride, you pace your effort differently than in the mountains: alternating bursts of speed on trails, fast stretches into the wind, and long hours exposed to the sun. CARDUELIS was designed for this kind of riding, with a lightweight 110 g/m² jersey that efficiently wicks moisture and keeps your skin dry as the intensity rises.

A jersey that works as hard as you do

The recycled polyester and elastane fabric moves sweat outward rather than holding it against your skin, while UPF 50+ protection means you can ride long stretches in the open without having to cover your arms in sunscreen. It weighs just 126 g, so you’ll barely notice it on your back.

Details shaped by experience

The raglan sleeves eliminate shoulder seams, which can chafe under a backpack strap or bikepacking bag. Three patch pockets on the back hold energy bars, a spare tube, and a windbreaker, while a fourth, zippered pocket keeps your phone and keys secure. A grippy band at the back hem keeps the jersey in place when you’re bent over the handlebars. The design is by Lagoped.

110 g/m² jersey and UPF 50+: stay dry and protected from the sun

It all starts with the knit: 110 g/m² of recycled polyester and elastane, knitted for excellent moisture transfer. In practice, sweat is drawn away and carried to the fabric’s surface, where it evaporates quickly instead of lingering against the skin and cooling your torso as soon as you slow down or start descending.

This lightweight construction comes with genuine sun protection: the UPF 50+ rating filters rays on your shoulders and arms, the areas most exposed during a several-hour gravel ride in the open. And at just 126 g, the jersey is barely noticeable, wet or dry.

Three back pockets, one zipped pocket and a gripper strip: storage designed for gravel

The back of the CARDUELIS doubles as a saddlebag. The three patch pockets hold snacks, an inner tube and a windbreaker without getting in the way of pedaling, and stay accessible with one hand while riding. The fourth pocket, with a zipper, keeps your phone, card and keys safe on rough sections where the rest of your load bounces around.

To keep all that weight from making the jersey slip, the lower back is finished with a gripper strip that holds it against your skin, even when fully loaded and even in a low position on the handlebars. Raglan sleeves complete the design by eliminating the shoulder seam, which rubs under a bikepacking bag strap.

CARDUELIS serves as this base layer, sitting directly against the skin and managing moisture produced during exertion. Its high-moisture-transfer knit wicks sweat outward so the layers above can do their job properly. In cool weather or early in the morning, simply add a lightweight insulating layer over it, then a windbreaker or water-repellent jacket as a third layer for descents and showers, taking them off as soon as the intensity picks up again.

CARDUELIS slim fit: a close-fitting jersey for riding without flapping

CARDUELIS has a slim fit in a men’s version that hugs the torso without feeling tight, preventing the fabric from flapping in the wind when speeds pick up on a fast stretch.

Secure fit in the riding position

The elastane in the knit moves with your arms and your bent-over riding position, while the gripper band at the lower back keeps the jersey from riding up when your hands are on the brake hoods. Raglan sleeves free up your shoulders when accelerating.

How to wear it in different weather

Wear it next to your skin in warm weather, or over a lightweight base layer on chilly mornings, with a windbreaker tucked into one of the rear pockets for descents.
