On a gravel ride, it’s rarely your legs that give out first: it’s the saddle, chafing seams, or a strap that slips after three hours on the trail. CARDUELIS BIB is designed around these contact points, for rides that stretch beyond what seems reasonable.

A multi-density chamois pad that stands up to hours in the saddle

The ultra-soft chamois pad combines several foam densities: firmer where your pelvis bears down, softer around the edges. It adapts just as well to an upright position on a gravel road as to a more stretched-out posture on smoother sections, without creating pressure points over time.

Breathable mesh and an open-back panel to release heat

The shorts are knitted from breathable 175 g/m² ECONYL recycled polyamide and elastane mesh, with an open-back panel that lets air circulate beneath your jersey. The elastic straps stay in place without compressing your shoulders, while the gripper finishes at the thighs hold the leg openings in place without marking your skin.

A multi-density chamois for long gravel rides

The chamois is what determines the comfort of cycling shorts, and the one in the CARDUELIS BIB is assembled in Italy. It is made with foams of different densities: firmer where your weight presses against the saddle, and softer elsewhere, to adapt to each rider’s position. The fabric that touches the skin is very soft, helping to reduce friction over the hours. In practical terms, that’s what makes the difference between cutting a gravel ride short and finishing an 8-hour loop without even thinking about it. The chamois is attached to cycling shorts weighing 178 g in men’s size M.

Multi-density chamois and perforated back: lasting comfort

The heart of a pair of bib shorts is its chamois. The chamois in the CARDUELIS BIB is made in Italy and constructed from multi-density foam: the sit bones get firmer support, while the edges stay soft to prevent pressure points under the thighs. This balance works just as well for a short, fast ride as for a full day of gravel riding, so you don't have to switch models depending on your plans.

The perforated back panel provides constant ventilation: heat trapped between the bib shorts and jersey escapes continuously, including on climbs where your pace slows and sweat builds up fastest.

The elastic straps keep the bib shorts in place in any riding position, without pulling on your shoulders when you sit up to accelerate. They eliminate the need for a tight waistband, making for real comfort when leaning forward for long periods.

Leg grippers that stay put without digging in

The hook-and-loop finishes on the thighs prevent the fabric from riding up while pedaling, without the tourniquet effect of traditional elastic. Worn on its own in warm weather, it also slips under tights or more covering shorts in mid-season.
