On a gravel ride, it's rarely your legs that give out first: it's the saddle, seams that chafe, or a strap that slips after three hours on the trail. CARDUELIS BIB is built around these contact points, for rides that stretch beyond reason.

A multi-density chamois that handles hours in the saddle

The ultra-soft chamois combines foam in several densities: firmer where the pelvis presses down, softer around the edges. It adapts just as well to an upright position on a gravel road as to a more stretched-out position on rolling sections, without creating pressure points over time.

Breathable mesh and an open back panel to release heat

The shorts are knitted from breathable 175 g/m² mesh made of ECONYL recycled polyamide and elastane, with an open back panel that lets air circulate beneath your jersey. The elastic bib straps stay in place without compressing your shoulders, and the hook-and-loop leg grippers keep the shorts in place without leaving marks on your skin.

The chamois is what determines the comfort of cycling shorts, and the one in the CARDUELIS BIB is assembled in Italy. It is made with foams of different densities: firmer where your weight presses against the saddle, and softer elsewhere, to adapt to each rider’s position. The fabric that touches the skin is very soft, helping to reduce friction over the hours. In practical terms, that’s what makes the difference between cutting a gravel ride short and finishing an 8-hour loop without even thinking about it. The chamois is attached to cycling shorts weighing 178 g in men’s size M.

Multi-density chamois and open back: lasting comfort

The heart of a pair of bib shorts is the chamois. The one in the CARDUELIS BIB is made in Italy and constructed from multi-density foam: the sit-bone areas have a firmer density, while the edges remain soft to prevent a ridge from forming under the thigh. This balance works just as well for a short, intense ride as for a full day of gravel, so you don't have to switch models depending on your plans.

The open panel on the back provides continuous ventilation: heat trapped between the bib shorts and jersey is constantly carried away, including on climbs when the pace drops and sweat builds up fastest.

The elastic straps keep the shorts in place whatever your position on the bike, without pulling on your shoulders when you sit up during a sprint. They eliminate the need for a tight waistband, making them truly comfortable when riding in a prolonged bent-over position.

A leg gripper that stays put without digging in

The hook-and-loop finishes at the thighs prevent the fabric from riding up while pedaling, without the tourniquet effect of a standard elastic band. Worn alone in hot weather, they also fit under tights or more covering shorts in the in-between seasons.
