HEYDO2 Women's: the warm down jacket for mountaineering races

At the start of a race, it is often cold and dark, and you know you'll be walking for two hours before you warm up. That's exactly when a down jacket like HEYDO2 becomes essential: you put it on as you leave the hut, wear it on the approach, then stow it in your pack as soon as the effort ramps up.

Warmth rated down to -20°C

Its insulation is rated for comfort down to -20°C, enough for winter mornings at altitude as well as extended breaks sheltered behind a rock. The windproof outer fabric does the rest: it blocks the drafts that drain warmth from a down jacket on an exposed ridge.

350 grams that won't weigh down your pack

At 350 grams, HEYDO2 is easy to carry, even on a day when the forecast is sunny. Its PFAS-free water-repellent treatment protects it from the occasional snowflake and windblown snow you encounter on the approach without adding weight.

PERFORMANCES

-20°C comfort: insulation that holds up in high-altitude cold

HEYDO2 is designed to provide thermal comfort down to -20°C. That’s the kind of performance you don’t judge at the start of the valley, but at 6 a.m. on a glacier, when the katabatic wind comes down and you’re waiting your turn to rope up. The insulation retains the heat generated on the approach instead of letting it escape, while the windproof outer fabric keeps cold air from penetrating the garment, which is the main cause of heat loss in a poorly protected puffer jacket. It also features a PFAS-free water-repellent treatment that makes blown snow and a few drops bead up before they seep into the fabric and reduce its insulating performance. Everything works toward the same goal: preserving the heat you already have rather than artificially generating more.

350 grams: the down jacket you take even when you're hesitating

At 350 grams on the scale, a down jacket is light enough that you no longer have to weigh the decision when packing your bag. On an alpine climbing trip, the real question is never whether a warm layer is comfortable, but whether you’re willing to carry it on your back all day just to wear it for thirty minutes during a break. Here, the answer is simple. Its low weight also means it packs down to a reasonable size at the bottom of your bag, ready to pull out as soon as you stop without having to unpack everything. Combined with its PFAS-free windproof, water-repellent fabric, HEYDO2 stays useful from the pre-dawn start to the return, without becoming a burden in between.

HEYDO2, the second layer in the Lagoped system

Did you know? The Lagopus, our totem animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend into the snow, it fluffs up its feathers as soon as the temperature drops to trap warm air against its body. It constantly adjusts its insulation, never wearing more than it needs.

HEYDO2 plays exactly this role in the Lagoped system: it’s the intermediate layer, the second layer, which traps the warm air produced by the body. It’s worn over a technical base layer next to the skin, which wicks away perspiration, and under a waterproof, breathable outer layer when the weather turns bad. On its own in dry, cold weather, it’s more than enough.

Fit & support

HEYDO2 Regular Fit: a women's down jacket that slips under a shell

HEYDO2 has a Regular Fit cut in a women's version that's neither fitted nor loose. In practice, it leaves room for a technical base layer and a midlayer without feeling tight across the shoulders, while staying close enough to the body to fit under a waterproof jacket without uncomfortable bulk at the armholes.

This cut is designed for movement in the mountains: you can raise your arms for a rappel or to adjust your pack without the hem riding up over your hips. It also works on its own in town or during a break, without the sleeping-bag effect of some very bulky down jackets.

Coupe Regular

Coupe intermédiaire à travers le buste, avec assez d'aisance pour superposer une couche technique en dessous sans compression. Les manches gardent une bonne liberté de mouvement pour les activités outdoor du quotidien, de la randonnée aux sorties en montagne.
