On a ridge climb, you mostly wear your beanie under your helmet: if it bunches up or feels tight, you’ll know within ten minutes. GEBO was designed to be forgotten right there.
The inside of the beanie’s circumference is lined with a band of 100% recycled polyester fleece, cushioning the pressure from the chin strap and helmet harness while insulating your ears and forehead. The knit remains thin across the rest of the beanie to avoid extra bulk under the shell.
The recycled polyester and cotton blend keeps you warm during breaks, at belays, or when setting off from the refuge at night, while allowing moisture vapor to escape as the pace picks up on a steep approach. The logo is jacquard-woven into the knit, not applied, so nothing rubs or peels off over time. At 50 g, it disappears into a jacket pocket when the sun comes out.

PERFORMANCES
Recycled polyester fleece band around the head
A beanie that itches your forehead is a beanie you take off. The GEBO has a recycled polyester fleece band all the way around the inside, in the area that directly touches your forehead and ears, where comfort matters most. The rest of the beanie stays thin, so it fits under a ski or climbing helmet without adding bulk or making the helmet ride up. The knit combines 55% recycled polyester and 42% recycled cotton, with fibers sorted by color before spinning to avoid dyeing. The logo is knitted in jacquard, directly into the fabric, rather than being sewn on: nothing to peel off over time. The beanie weighs 50 g and is knitted in Italy.
With a beanie worn under a helmet, even the smallest raised detail becomes a pressure point after an hour of walking. That’s why the GEBO logo is woven directly into the knit in jacquard, rather than glued or embroidered on top: no extra bulk, no edges rubbing against the shell, and branding that won’t peel off over time or with washing.
The same approach carries through to the beanie’s overall construction: intentionally thin and stretchy, so it slips under a mountaineering helmet without having to readjust the fit. And at just 50 g, it rolls up into a jacket’s chest pocket as soon as the sun beats down on the slope, without weighing you down on the move.
Fit & support
GEBO is a unisex stretch-knit beanie that hugs the head without squeezing. It can be worn directly on the head or under a mountaineering or ski helmet: its thickness stays low enough that you don't need to loosen the helmet's adjustment band, and the internal fleece band provides a buffer around the forehead and ears.
Wear the edge folded up for neat ear coverage, or unfolded a little lower over the nape of the neck when the wind picks up. Since the logo jacquard is knitted into the fabric, it creates no extra bulk under the helmet shell. It weighs just 50 g and rolls up into a jacket pocket as soon as the temperature rises.
SIZE GUIDE
Make your equipment last
