A walk to the office in cold rain, an hour waiting on a train platform, an evening out as the temperature drops: winter in the city calls for as much protection as a mountain outing, but with a look that fits in anywhere. GRAND TETRAS WARM was made for just that, with a 3/4 length that covers the hips and upper thighs.

A mountain-ready membrane in an urban cut

The recycled polyester outer layer combines a Sympatex membrane rated at 20,000 Schmerber and RET<14 with a fluorine-free water-repellent finish. All seams are sealed with heat-bonded tape, so driving rain can’t get through the fabric or the seams.

Details designed for everyday life

The 5 mm YKK Vislon two-way center zipper lets you unzip from the bottom when sitting down, and the protective flap fastens with magnets, one-handed, even with gloved fingers. Two zippered YKK Aquaguard Coil hand pockets and a zippered interior pocket keep your phone and documents dry, rib-knit cuffs block drafts, and the rear hood adjustment lets you tighten it around your head in seconds.

The problem with warm jackets is that they’re too warm as soon as you start moving. The GRAND TETRAS WARM is filled with perforated insulation: its tiny holes let air circulate and release heat as you walk, instead of trapping it like solid insulation. It has a fill weight of 133 g/m² on the body and 100 g/m² on the sleeves and hood, for comfort down to -15 °C when stationary. Think a train platform on a January morning, or a patio you don’t want to leave. The insulation is made of 80% recycled polyester and manufactured in Bulgaria. A mechanical, chemical-free anti-migration treatment keeps the fibers from passing through the lining, while the Sympatex membrane outer fabric keeps everything dry.

Seams sealed with heat-applied tape

An urban down jacket that stays waterproof in the rain

Most warm parkas stop at water resistance: water beads off for a while, then soaks into the fabric. The GRAND TETRAS WARM goes further, with a waterproof, breathable outer fabric and, most importantly, every seam covered on the inside with heat-sealed tape. Sewing means piercing the fabric hundreds of times, and every needle hole lets water in: the tape seals them up one by one. That’s what keeps you dry in a winter shower, not just under a few snowflakes. The center zip is a two-way YKK Vislon zipper, covered by a protective flap with magnets that closes effortlessly.

GRAND TETRAS WARM, an outer layer with built-in insulation

Did you know? The ptarmigan, our totem animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend into the snow, it fluffs up its feathers as soon as the temperature drops. It constantly adjusts its protection, never wearing more than it needs.

GRAND TETRAS WARM follows the same principle. It serves as an outer layer, the third layer, keeping out rain and wind thanks to its Sympatex membrane. But its recycled wadding lining also makes it function as an insulating mid-layer, usually provided by a fleece or a lightweight down jacket. In winter, all you need under this jacket is a simple technical base layer worn next to the skin. In milder seasons, leave it aside in favor of an unlined outer layer.

Regular 3/4 cut: a jacket that provides coverage without restricting movement

GRAND TETRAS WARM has a regular fit for men, with a 3/4 length that falls over the hips and upper thighs. Choose this fit when you want room in the shoulders and the option to wear the jacket over a shirt, sweater, or thick fleece without feeling tight around the chest.

Simple everyday adjustments

The ribbed cuffs sit over your hands and keep the sleeves from riding up when you raise your arms or carry a bag. The rear hood adjuster lets you reduce the volume so the hood stays in place in the wind, then loosen it once you’re sheltered. The two-way center zipper opens from the bottom for greater freedom of movement when sitting, driving, or cycling.
