Some mornings, you head out without knowing whether you'll end the day on a freezing sidewalk or a suburban trail. SKAGGGAM was designed for days like that, with recycled wool knit that holds in warmth without weighing down your bag.

Recycled wool knit that keeps you warm

Made from 70% recycled wool, with polyamide, it offers wool's characteristic warmth while staying flexible as you pull it on and move. The knit's natural stretch moves with your shoulders and arms when you walk fast, hoist a bag, or climb a station staircase.

Jacquard knit and embroidered logo, nothing superfluous

The jacquard pattern is knitted into the fabric, not printed on it: it won't flake or peel after repeated washes. The embroidered logo at the chest is the only visible signature. The rest is 360 grams of warm knit: a sweater you can wear all day without giving it a second thought.

70% recycled wool, spun in Tarn

SKAGGGAM yarn is spun in Tarn from recycled wool. The spinner uses a process that preserves fiber length during defibration, resulting in yarn with properties close to virgin yarn. It is stronger than standard recycled wool, so the sweater won’t lose its shape after a single winter. The blend consists of 70% recycled wool, 25% recycled polyamide to strengthen the yarn, and 5% other fibers. The sweater is knitted and assembled in Italy and weighs 360 g in size M. The wool offers what you’d expect: warmth that stays comfortable when you move, and a material that helps limit odors between washes.

Fibers sorted by color before spinning, without dyeing

Color-sorted fibers: a dye-free jacquard

Merino wool is the industry standard, but its intensive production raises serious concerns about both the environment and animal welfare. We chose a different path: using material that already exists. Recycled wool is shredded, then mechanically sorted by color before being spun. This sorting allows the SKAGGGAM to be made entirely without dye: each jacquard color comes from the original fibers, eliminating the most water- and chemical-intensive stage of the process. The result: no extraction of virgin materials, full traceability, and yarn made in France. The sweater is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and GRS, and its spinner holds the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label.

SKAGGGAM, the second insulating layer in the Lagoped system

Did you know? The rock ptarmigan, our totem animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend into the snow, it fluffs up its feathers to trap air and protect itself from the cold. It adjusts its insulation constantly, never wearing more than necessary.

SKAGGGAM plays exactly this role in the Lagoped layering system: it is the midlayer, the second layer, whose function is to retain the heat generated by the body. It is worn over a technical base layer close to the skin, which wicks away moisture, and under a windproof or waterproof outer layer when the weather turns. In the city or in dry weather, it works just fine on its own.

Fit & support

SKAGGGAM loose fit: a sweater that hangs straight and lets you breathe

SKAGGGAM comes in a loose fit designed for women, hanging straight from the shoulders without cinching at the waist. It gives you more room in the arms and torso, and especially enough space to layer a technical T-shirt or shirt underneath without pulling at the armholes.

The wool and polyamide knit is nicely stretchy: it bounces back after a day of wear, and the sweater doesn’t lose its shape at the elbows or neckline. Wear it on its own indoors or layer it under a windbreaker when the temperature drops; it keeps the same drape. If you prefer a more fitted look, sizing down works well with this cut.
