Freeride ski champion, Maëlle carries the mountain in her heart. In 2024, she joined Damien at the Écrins refuge and became co-guardian.

Who are you?

My name is Maëlle, I've been skiing since I could walk...

I first learned the ropes on downhill skis before putting my head in the powder once and for all!

French Freeride Champion 2019, I am now ready for new challenges, including skiing in all these incredible places around me with my seal skins.

Living in Vallouise, in the heart of the Pays des Écrins, a fantastic natural space is offered to me. My determination remains the trait of my character that prevails over failures and injuries. Seasoned and thoughtful with a touch of madness!!!

With a ski instructor diploma in my pocket, I pass on my passion while continuing to live it... Mother of two unruly children, life is far from being a long, quiet river and so much the better.

A word about the Écrins refuge?

Happy in the mountains, I am lucky today to be the guardian of the Écrins refuge (thank you Damien). What could be better than such a fabulous environment to be happy. A smile is and will always remain my best weapon in life!!!
