The day revolves around short-rope belaying, a key technique for moving efficiently on mixed terrain without losing time at each step. Participants learn to place their own protection points and set up an anchor, then proceed to rappel descent independently.

The day ends with the preparation and execution of a PD/AD level climb, a practical scenario that allows participants to concretely measure their progress.

A debriefing concludes the outing: review of the day and the safety choices made along the way.
