Did you know? The ptarmigan, our totem animal, changes its plumage according to the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and fluffs up its feathers to avoid the cold.

DOVE SAUVAGE is inspired by this: its blend of recycled cotton and recycled polyester keeps you dry longer than pure cotton. It acts as the base layer, guiding sweat to the outside of the garment.

To enjoy your favorite activity no matter the weather, here’s the basics of the layering system:

  • The first (inner) layer: breathable, it directs sweat to the outside. DOVE SAUVAGE belongs to this category.
  • The middle layer is insulating, it retains heat.
  • The outer layer protects against the elements: waterproof, breathable, windproof.

By building your outfit according to this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During activity, you can remove the middle layer, then put it back on when resting.

Manufacture

We often say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since the creation of Lagoped, we have been constantly exchanging with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece.

  • The yarn is made in Spain from recycled cotton and recycled polyester (pre- and post-consumer).
  • The jersey and ribbing are knitted in France (Picardy), without dyeing.
  • The final assembly is done in Portugal.

This makes it a fully European product, from yarn to garment.

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped compromises on nothing.

The thread of DOVE SAUVAGE is more virtuous than conventional or organic cotton. The recycled cotton used involves no fertilizers, no water consumption, and no agricultural labor: the soil remains available for food agriculture or simply to rest. Specifically, 1 kg of recycled cotton can produce 6 t-shirts, avoiding the cultivation of 10 m² of arable land, the use of 15,000 liters of water, and the emission of 23 kg of greenhouse gases. Recycled polyester complements this balance: made from recovered plastic materials, it replaces virgin petroleum production. Mixed together, these two fibers create a dense jersey with a pleasant drape, without the need to extract any natural resources.

Because the fibers are sorted by color before spinning, there is no dyeing, which represents a concrete water saving for each piece produced.

Care

To respect the environment and extend the life of your t-shirt, wash it in the machine on a short cycle at a maximum of 30°C, using a natural detergent. Avoid fabric softener as it damages the fibers. Air dry it instead of using the machine: your DOVE SAUVAGE will be ready for the next outing.
