Cut

You can recognize the DOVE t-shirt by:

- Its total comfort and loose fit.

- Its print on the back.

- Its material: heavier than classic polycotton, it has a perfect drape.

- Its innovative composition, more virtuous than classic cotton - even organic. Lagoped has designed a blend of recycled cotton and recycled polyester for a pleasant product with a controlled impact.

Layer system

Did you know? The ptarmigan – our totem animal – changes its plumage with the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the fluffiness of its feathers to ward off the cold.

The DOVE CHAMONIX T-shirt is inspired by this: its blend of fibres keeps you dry longer than pure cotton.

To enjoy your favourite activity whatever the weather, here's the ABCs: layers.

- The first layer, also known as the inner layer, must be breathable to wick perspiration away from the garment. This is the category to which DOVE CHAMONIX belongs.

- The mid-layer is insulating; it helps to retain heat.

- The outer layer protects against bad weather: waterproof, breathable, windproof.

By building your outfit using this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During exertion, you can remove the mid-layer and then put it back on when you stop. In short, layering is essential.

Manufacture

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since Lagoped's creation, we've been constantly working with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip you in the best possible way, always with sustainability in mind.

Here's how our clothes are made: Le Fil is made in Spain from recycled cotton and recycled polyester.

The jersey and ribbed edges are knitted in France (Picardy) before final assembly in Portugal.

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped makes no compromises. Here, the thread used in the t-shirt is more environmentally friendly than conventional or organic cotton. Recycled cotton requires no fertilizers, no water consumption, no agricultural labor, and less carbon consumption. The soils
are either at rest or reserved for food agriculture. It's better that way, right?

Concretely, 1 kg of recycled cotton allows you to make 6 t-shirts which will avoid:

- cultivation of 10m² of arable land,

- the use of 15,000 liters of water (i.e. four months of daily 5-minute showers)

- the emission of 23kg of greenhouse gas emissions (approximately 200 km with a small petrol car) (source: AITEX, Universitat de Valencia and UNESCO)

Composition

- Jersey 220g/m²

- Yarn made in Spain from recycled cotton (r-COT) and recycled polyester (r-PET) (pre and post consumer).

- No dyeing and sorting of fibers by color.

Care

To respect the environment and make your t-shirt last, machine wash it on a short cycle and not too hot (30° or 40°C is enough), with a natural detergent.

Air dry it rather than machine dry it.
