Système de couche

The hat is not a part of the layering system but as we lose a lot of heat through the head it is essential to cover it. Always bring a hat, even in summer, for bivouacs or slightly cool evenings. GEBO is less warm than wool and will ventilate better if you need to make an effort in the cold.

Fabrication

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since the creation of Lagoped, we have constantly exchanged with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip yourself as well as possible, always with sustainability in mind. This is how our clothes are made:

The recycled yarn is made in Italy and the knitting and tailoring is done in Italy. And the same goes for the micro fleece inside, Italian and made from recycled plastic bottles.

Économie circulaire

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped does not compromise on anything.

Here we use recycled fibers to optimize resource use. There are 2 types of recycling: post-production and post-consumer. The yarns we use to make GEBO hats come from production runs and have not yet been consumed. To clearly understand the difference, threads from the recycling of plastic bottles, for example, come from a first consumption cycle. By participating in the development of the recycling sector in Europe, we all become stakeholders and we contribute to developing solutions that will one day allow us to effectively recycle the clothes we have already worn to make new ones.

Composition

Knitting thread

- 50% recycled acrylic 20% recycled viscose 20% recycled cotton 10% other recycled fibers

Mico fleece:

- 100% recycled polyester (r-PET).

Entretien

- Machine wash at 30°, with conventional detergent (and ecological, that's better!).

- No need for fabric softener!

- Gentle spinning and normal rinsing are sufficient. And natural drying, to preserve the planet and the beauty of your hat.
