Layer system

Did you know? The ptarmigan - our totem animal - changes its plumage according to the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the plumage of its feathers to avoid cold snaps. The Fogoly anorak is inspired by this: it stops the rain and wind and preserves the
body heat (over 30°C at the surface of the skin). In very cold weather, simply add an intermediate layer for greater warmth. You are ready for all your activities. By adjusting the warmth without ever giving up waterproofing, the Fogoly anorak can be worn all year round. To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here are the basics: layers.
- The first layer, called internal, must be breathable, to guide perspiration towards the outside of the garment.
- The intermediate layer is insulating, it helps retain heat.
- The outer layer protects against the elements: waterproof, breathable, windproof. Eve belongs to this last category. By building your outfit according to this system, you gain in comfort and versatility. During exercise, you can remove the intermediate layer and then put it back on when you stop. In short, multi-layering is the basis.

Manufacture

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since the creation of Lagoped, we have been constantly exchanging with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip you as best as possible, always with sustainability in mind. Here is how our clothing is made:
- Lagoped fabric is made up of 3 different layers that are only a few millimeters thick when assembled.
- The outer thread is Italian (made from recycled plastic bottles), the weaving and dyeing are done in Ardèche.
- The membrane is a polyester manufactured in Europe from recycled membrane offcuts (pre-consumer).
- The inner layer is a very, very fine Italian mesh, made of recycled yarn. The three layers are combined in Austria, before being assembled in Poland. Which makes it an entirely European product - quite a feat for such a technical garment.

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped does not compromise on anything.
- 100% recyclable membrane
- Polyether-ester harmless to health
- PFAS free
- Bluesign® approval (membrane, laminates, sealing strips)
- Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification
- Fluorocarbon-free water-repellent treatment (Bionic-Finish®Eco) (PFC-free)
- Free of perfluorocarbons
- Fully recyclable laminates
- Fully recyclable tops and supports

Composition

- 3-layer fabric 100% recycled Polyester (r-PET)
- Recycled Sympatex Pyester membrane (r-PET) – RET<14
- Polyurethane (PU) sealing tape

Care

Machine wash inside out and at 30° with the zips closed, as little as possible and with as little detergent as possible. No need for fabric softener: the technical fabric is not a fan. It is better to air dry it on a hanger (or in the dryer for 10-15min max). For the membrane, definitely do not iron! Do not dry clean either. Frequently use specific PFC-free sprays to reactivate the water repellency
