Cut

We recognize the NAGALAKA windbreaker jacket by:

- its lightness and compressibility: it will easily slip into your backpacks, once stored in its own zipped storage pocket

- its resistance thanks to its ripstop fabric

- its water-repellent character (without fluorinated compounds of course)

- its back ventilation to avoid heatstroke when climbing

- its strong point, manufacturing from recycled plastic bottles exclusively in Europe.

Layer system

Did you know ? The ptarmigan - our totem animal - changes its plumage depending on the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the fluffiness of its feathers to avoid cold snaps.

The NAGALAKA jacket is inspired by this: it stops rain and wind and retains body heat. In cold weather, simply add an intermediate layer for greater warmth. Essential for all your outdoor activities.

To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here's the basics: layers.

- The first layer, called internal, must be breathable, to guide perspiration towards the outside of the garment.

- The intermediate layer is insulating, it helps retain heat.

- The outer layer protects against bad weather: waterproof, breathable, windproof. It is to this last category that NAGALAKA belongs.

By building your outfit based on this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During exercise, you can remove the intermediate layer and then put it back on. In short, multi-layering is the basis.

Manufacture

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since the creation of Lagoped, we have constantly exchanged with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip yourself as well as possible, always with sustainability in mind. This is how our clothes are made:

The NAGALAKA jacket is a windproof jacket with ripstop fabric woven in France from recycled polyester yarn: these are old plastic bottles that become yarn again in Italy.

The soft jersey on the cuffs is knitted in Italy from polyamide recycled from old fishing nets, fabric scraps, etc. The yarn comes from Slovenia, the material is knitted and dyed in Italy. We add elastane for stretch comfort: 21% which comes from Northern Ireland.

The jacket is then assembled in Hungary.

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped does not compromise on anything.

- Polyester threads come from plastic bottles and are made in Italy.

- Polyamide yarns are regenerated in Slovenia. Regenerated nylon is made entirely from nylon waste (including fishing nets, fabric scraps and used carpets).

- As for elastane, it is not yet recycled. But we are working with our suppliers to develop our jacket in the future.

- Weaving and dyeing in France for the Polyester, while the Polyamide for the cuffs is knitted and dyed in Italy.
