HEYDO2 Hoodie: the warm puffer jacket for mountaineering races in cold weather

At the start of a race, during a snack break below a pass, or in the refuge in the evening, there’s always that moment when your body suddenly cools down as soon as you stop moving. HEYDO2 Hoodie was designed for those moments: a warm puffer jacket you can pull out of your pack in seconds to warm up right away.

Lofty insulation designed for comfort down to -20°C

Its warm, lofty recycled polyester insulation traps air for thermal comfort rated down to -20°C. The windproof, water-repellent ECONYL recycled polyamide outer fabric, made without PFAS, blocks gusts and shrugs off light snow or a few drops without becoming waterlogged.

Details that matter when your fingers are frozen

The 3 mm YKK Vislon two-way center zip opens from the bottom so you can reach your harness without unzipping the whole jacket. The two 3 mm YKK zipped handwarmer pockets keep your hands warm, while elasticated hood and hem keep drafts out. The high collar protects the lower face when the wind picks up.

PERFORMANCES

Comfort at -20°C: recycled polyester insulation designed for stops at altitude

The warmth of the HEYDO2 Hoodie comes from its 100% recycled polyester insulation, with a weight of 150 g/m², made in Slovakia. Lofty, it traps a large volume of air beneath a thin shell, and it is this still air that provides insulation: the product team states that it’s comfortable down to -20°C, the conditions you encounter when stopped at altitude, at a relay station or at a bivouac. The 55 g/m² recycled polyamide outer fabric plays a direct role in this performance: windproof, it prevents gusts from sweeping away the accumulated warmth, while its PFAS-free water-repellent treatment keeps moisture from flattening the insulation. The whole thing weighs 560 g, a deliberate compromise between genuine warmth and packable weight.

YKK Vislon two-way zip and elasticated hood: ergonomics with gloves

In the mountains, a warm garment is only useful if you can handle it quickly, often with gloves on and one hand occupied. The YKK Vislon 3 mm two-way center zip makes that possible: unzip it from the bottom to access your harness or let your lower back breathe on a short climb, without exposing your torso to the wind. The two handwarmer pockets, closed with YKK 3 mm zippers, are just as useful for warming your fingers as for keeping skins, a bar, or spare gloves secure. The elasticated hood slips over a beanie and stays in place without adjustment, while the high collar closes around your upper body as soon as the wind picks up.

HEYDO2 Hoodie, the second insulating layer in the Lagoped system

Did you know? The ptarmigan, our totem animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend into the snow, it fluffs up its feathers to trap air and protect itself from the cold. It adapts its insulation to the temperature, never wearing more than it needs.

HEYDO2 Hoodie follows exactly the same logic: it takes the place of the midlayer, the second layer, retaining body heat thanks to the volume of air trapped in its padding. It is worn over a technical base layer close to the body, and under a waterproof outer layer on snowy or rainy days. In dry, cold weather, its windproof, water-repellent fabric also lets you wear it as an outer layer.

Fit & support

HEYDO2 Hoodie Regular Fit: a women's down jacket that fits under a shell

HEYDO2 Hoodie has a Regular Fit cut in a women's version, neither tight across the chest nor loose. It leaves enough room for a technical base layer and a lightweight fleece underneath, while staying compact enough to fit under a waterproof shell without adding bulk at the shoulders or getting in the way of a backpack.

A fit that keeps the warmth in

The hem and hood are elasticated: the down jacket stays close to the body when you raise your arms, and cold air won't creep up your back while you're working. The stand-up collar covers the upper chest up to the chin, and the two-way zipper lets you open it from the bottom to vent or reach your harness without exposing your torso.

Coupe Regular

Coupe intermédiaire à travers le buste, avec assez d'aisance pour superposer une couche technique en dessous sans compression. Les manches gardent une bonne liberté de mouvement pour les activités outdoor du quotidien, de la randonnée aux sorties en montagne.

SIZE GUIDE

Make your equipment last
