Some beanies get forgotten at the bottom of your bag, while others never leave your head. GEBO CUFF falls into the second category: 50 grams on your head, recycled wool that keeps you warm even when damp, and a cuffed design that works just as well at the start from the hut as it does at the summit when the wind picks up.
The knit uses a single yarn, in a blend of 70% recycled wool and polyamide for lasting durability. Wool retains its thermal properties even when damp, which makes all the difference during a mountaineering climb, when you alternate between periods of exertion and extended stops at belay stations.
Pull the cuff down over your ears when the temperature drops, then fold it back when you pick up the pace. The embroidered logo is the only exterior branding: nothing gets in the way under a helmet or hood.

PERFORMANCES
Yarn made from 70% recycled wool and 25% recycled polyamide, spun in the Tarn region.
The GEBO CUFF is knitted with a single strand, creating a soft, breathable knit that’s suited to chilly but not freezing days. The cuff lets you adjust how far it sits over your forehead and doubles the thickness over your ears. The wool is recycled and spun in Tarn using a process that preserves the fiber length during shredding, making the resulting yarn much more durable than conventional recycled wool. The blend consists of 70% recycled wool, 25% polyamide to strengthen the yarn, and 5% other fibers. The fibers are mechanically sorted by color before spinning, so the beanie is not dyed. It is knitted and made in Italy, weighs 50 g, and has an embroidered logo.
GEBO CUFF weighs fifty grams. That's light enough to disappear into a jacket pocket when the sun beats down on the ridge, and light enough that you won't feel it under a mountaineering helmet during a long day.
Some of that comfort comes from the finishing. The logo is embroidered, not heat-applied or printed: no rigid patch creating a pressure point against a helmet strap, and no plastic film peeling off after a couple of seasons. The single-yarn knit, meanwhile, creates a soft, even fabric that stretches and then returns to shape once you take off your helmet.
Fit & support
GEBO CUFF is a unisex style that anyone can wear. Its single-yarn knit retains its stretch: the beanie fits the head without squeezing the temples, avoiding that feeling of pressure after two or three hours of walking.
The cuff is what makes this piece so versatile. Folded up, it leaves the ears uncovered and gives the beanie a short fit high on the head. Unfolded, it covers the ears and upper nape for outings in below-freezing temperatures. The volume stays compact enough to fit under a technical jacket hood without adding bulk that could make the hood slide forward.
SIZE GUIDE
Make your equipment last
