COLCHUUCK SH: the twill shorts with a denim look for the valley

There are the days when you head to the mountains, and all the others: trips around town, rest days after a trek, summers spent on the move without really stopping. The COLCHUUCK SH was designed for those days, with a sturdy twill that keeps its denim look wash after wash.

255 g/m² fabric that stands the test of time

The twill is woven in France, in Charlieu, at a weight of 255 g/m², giving the shorts their characteristic structure: they hang straight, hold their shape around the pockets, and stand up to days spent sitting as well as days spent on your feet. The fabric is made from 50% recycled polyester and 49% recycled cotton, spun in Spain.

A confident five-pocket design

Two slanted front pockets, two patch pockets at the back, and a belt-loop waistband so you can fasten it however you like: the design draws on the classic city-trouser style, with double pleats at the front to soften the silhouette. The embroidered logo on the right front pocket and the embroidery on the right back pocket sign off the piece without overdoing it.

A 255 g/m² twill that’s never dyed, sorted by color before spinning

The real technical selling point of these shorts is their fabric. The twill is made from recycled cotton and polyester fibers, sorted by color before being spun in Spain. As a result, the fabric isn’t dyed, eliminating one of the textile industry’s most water- and chemical-intensive steps. The Navy shade comes directly from the fibers, not a dye bath.

At 255 g/m², this twill has the structure of classic denim without the weight: the complete shorts weigh 250 g in the reference size. The polyester-cotton blend also helps prevent creasing and speeds up drying, a detail that matters when the garment travels in a bag rather than sitting in a closet.

Four pockets and two embroidered details: the details of the COLCHUUCK SH

The construction has all the features you’d expect from an everyday piece. Two Italian pockets at the front, deep enough to hold a phone without it falling out with every step, and two patch pockets at the back that give the shorts their shape. The belt loops fit any standard belt.

As for the finishing touches, the Lagoped logo is embroidered on the right front pocket, and a second embroidered detail adorns the right back pocket. No printed patch that peels off in the wash: the embroidery lasts as long as the fabric. It’s the kind of choice you might not notice in the first week, but will after two summers.

COLCHUUCK SH, the base layer for your lower body on days in the valley

Did you know? The ptarmigan, our totem animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend into the snow, it fluffs up its feathers when the cold sets in and sheds them as soon as temperatures rise. It never wears more than it needs to.

COLCHUUCK SH follows the same principle for your lower body: it works as a base layer, worn next to the skin when the weather allows. In the valley, in warm weather, it's all you need. If the weather turns, it disappears under windproof or waterproof trousers without adding uncomfortable bulk, thanks to its straight cut and 250 g weight.

Fit & support

Women's regular-fit shorts: a straight leg that doesn't cling

The COLCHUUCK SH is offered in a women's regular fit, neither tight nor loose, with a straight line that follows the hips without clinging. The double front pleats shape the drape and prevent the pockets from gaping when you sit down.

Belt loops to adjust throughout the day

The belt loops let you add a belt and adjust the fit to suit your top, whether tucked in or left out. The 255 g/m² twill holds its shape, too: the shorts keep their fit through a full day of walking around town, driving, and sitting on a terrace, without stretching out at the back.

Coupe Regular

Coupe intermédiaire, ni ajustée ni ample, avec assez d'aisance à la taille et aux cuisses pour superposer une couche isolante en dessous. Le bas de jambe reste suffisamment large pour passer par-dessus une chaussure de ski ou d'alpinisme sans tirer sur le tissu.
