HEYDOMA: the sleeveless puffer that protects your torso while mountaineering

On an early-morning approach to a climb, the cold settles on your torso while your arms are already working. That’s exactly when HEYDOMA comes into its own: keeping your torso warm without restricting shoulder movement, whether you’re walking or climbing.

Insulating fill designed to keep you comfortable down to -20 degrees

The warm, lofty recycled polyester fill is housed in a water-repellent, windproof recycled polyamide fabric. The product team claims thermal comfort down to -20 degrees, making this a layer you can keep on during a break, at a belay, or in the refuge in the evening—and it weighs just 300 grams.

Details designed for use in the mountains

The 3 mm YKK Vislon center zip with a double slider lets you unzip from the bottom without opening the collar, which is useful when wearing a harness. Two zippered YKK 3 mm handwarmer pockets warm your fingers between tasks, the high collar blocks drafts, and the elasticated hood and hem stay in place when the wind picks up.

PERFORMANCES

Comfort down to -20 degrees at just 300 grams

The warmth-to-weight ratio is HEYDOMA’s key selling point. The product team says it provides thermal comfort down to -20 degrees, thanks to warm, lofty 150 g/m² recycled polyester insulation encased in ECONYL polyamide fabric weighing just 55 g/m². The result: a weight of 300 grams, a compressible volume that won’t take up much room in your pack, and a piece you can pull out as soon as you stop exerting yourself. The outer fabric is windproof, which matters just as much as the insulation: high-performance insulation loses most of its value if air can pass through the fabric. The PFAS-free water-repellent treatment also handles powder snow and drops from a brief shower without the insulation collapsing.

YKK Vislon double-slider zipper and zippered pockets: ergonomics with a harness

The opening details make all the difference when you're roped up. The 3 mm YKK Vislon center zip has a double slider and also opens from the bottom, making it easy to access your harness or ventilate your lower back without exposing your torso. The two handwarmer pockets, secured with 3 mm YKK zippers, are just as useful for warming your fingers between tasks as for keeping a pair of lightweight gloves close at hand. The stand-up collar protects the lower part of your face when the hood is down, while the elastic in the hood and at the hem seals off the two most bothersome entry points for drafts when the wind shifts.

HEYDOMA, the second insulating layer in the Lagoped system

Did you know? The rock ptarmigan, our totem animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: it turns white in winter to blend into the snow and fluffs up its feathers to trap warm air. It constantly adapts to the temperature, never wearing more than it needs.

HEYDOMA follows the same principle: it serves as a midlayer, the second layer that retains body heat. Sleeveless, it insulates the torso where we cool down fastest while letting the arms breathe during exertion. It is worn over a close-fitting technical base layer and slips under a waterproof outer layer when the weather turns bad. Its water-repellent, windproof fabric also makes it suitable to wear on its own in dry weather.

Fit & support

Regular-fit HEYDOMA: a sleeveless puffer jacket made to fit between two layers

HEYDOMA has a regular fit, neither tight nor loose, for a man who wants to wear it over a simple technical T-shirt or over a fleece without feeling constricted at the shoulders.

Completely free shoulders

The absence of sleeves changes the way you move: your arms stay free to plant trekking poles, pull on a rope, or keep moving, without the usual bulk of a classic puffer jacket under a shell.

A fit that stays in place

The elasticated hem keeps the puffer jacket from riding up under a harness or backpack waist belt. The elasticated hood and high collar close off the upper body when the wind picks up, and stay out of the way under an outer layer the rest of the time.

Coupe Regular

Coupe intermédiaire à travers le buste, avec assez d'aisance pour superposer une couche technique en dessous sans compression. Les manches gardent une bonne liberté de mouvement pour les activités outdoor du quotidien, de la randonnée aux sorties en montagne.

SIZE GUIDE

Make your equipment last
