On the occasion of the summer sales, and through a campaign highlighting the measures to reduce the impact of its production, Lagoped reiterates its commitments to the transparency and eco-design of its products.
The textile industry, particularly through the phenomenon of fast fashion, shows many worrying deviations. The rapid turnover of collections encourages rampant overconsumption, fueling a production chain that often neglects environmental and ethical standards. In terms of human health, the use of chemicals such as PFAS in textiles leads to dangerous contaminations, exposing consumers to considerable health risks. At the same time, the environmental impact is just as alarming: the massive production of clothing creates tension on raw materials, most of them natural where production requires a lot of resources, not to mention open-air recycling centers, where our clothes come pile up without being recycled after a sometimes very (too) short lifespan. This race for fast fashion leaves a lasting ecological footprint, endangering ecosystems and future generations.
At Lagoped, we believe that it is possible to reconcile the design of new outdoor clothing with environmental responsibility. This is why we have taken concrete measures to produce timeless, versatile and essential outdoor sports clothing, renewing our collections each year with a limited number of new products.
We are committed to using clean, PFAS-free materials to guarantee the safety and health of our customers. By choosing “Made in Europe” production , we respect strict environmental and social standards and control our entire production chain. In addition, we favor recycled materials , reusing existing resources and promoting the circularity of materials in order to minimize our impact on nature. Thanks to these adjustments, Lagoped strives to offer sustainable fashion that respects our planet.
