We recognize the EVE jacket by:
- Its close-fitting cut, slightly longer at the back so you can bend down without revealing your back (you know, when the icy wind rushes in)
- Its sleeves are deliberately long so that the wrists remain well covered when you raise your arms.
- Its absolute freedom of movement: the cut has been tested and validated in extreme conditions, both in skiing and in itinerant trekking. She brilliantly descended Pic Laila (6096m) in Pakistan and unflinchingly accompanied a winter crossing of New Zealand (2400km on foot in 5 months).
- Its ability to get to the essential, with a refined and sharp style. Its vanishing points (ventilations) are designed not to crush the silhouette.
- 1 interior mesh pocket (gloves, mask, skins, etc.)
- 1 zipped pass pocket on left arm
- 2 zipped Napoleon pockets on the front compatible with a harness and a backpack
- 2 side ventilations for ventilation in case of sustained effort - they follow the straps of the backpack, and allow easy access to the pockets of the clothes worn underneath
- 1 YKK© Vislon© 5mm ventral zip with two sliders (bottom or top opening)
- Drawstrings at the waist and Velcro wrist tightening
- Large helmet hood. 3-point tightening at the collarbones and at the back of the head. No holes or eyelets on the hood: the tightening mechanisms do not create an entry point for water, snow or wind
- Storm flap inside the ventral zip
- Soft protection on the chin and cheeks
- Seams sealed with heat-sealed strips
- YKK© Aquaguard Coil© 5mm hydrophobic zippers
- High UV resistance color dye
- Waterproofing 20,000 Schmerber
- Weight: 580gr
Did you know ? The ptarmigan - our totem animal - changes its plumage depending on the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the fluffiness of its feathers to avoid cold spells.
The EVE jacket is inspired by this: it stops rain and wind and retains body heat (more than 30°C on the surface of the skin). In extreme cold, simply add an intermediate layer for greater warmth. You're all set, ready for all your activities. By adjusting the heat supply without ever giving up waterproofing, the EVE jacket can be worn all year round.
To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here's the basics: layers.
- The first layer, called internal, must be breathable, to guide perspiration towards the outside of the garment.
- The intermediate layer is insulating, it helps retain heat.
- The outer layer protects against bad weather: waterproof, breathable, windproof. It is to this last category that Eve belongs.
By building your outfit based on this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During exercise, you can remove the intermediate layer and then put it back on. In short, multi-layering is the basis.
