Did you know? The ptarmigan - our totem animal - changes its plumage according to the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the plumage of its feathers to avoid cold snaps.

The CARCAJOU sweatshirt is inspired by this: it plays the role of an intermediate layer, the one that insulates you from the cold and regulates heat.

To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here are the basics: layers.

- The first layer, called internal, must be breathable, to guide perspiration towards the outside of the garment.

- The intermediate layer is insulating, it keeps the heat in. It is to this second category that CARCAJOU belongs.

- The outer layer protects against bad weather: waterproof, breathable, windproof.

By building your outfit around this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During exercise, you can remove the mid-layer and then put it back on when you stop. In short, multi-layering is the basis.

Manufacture

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since the creation of Lagoped, we have been constantly exchanging with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip you as best as possible, always with sustainability in mind. Here is how our clothing is made:

- The cotton and polyester blend yarn is recycled in Spain.

- The jersey and the rib are knitted in France (Picardy) without dyeing

- The sweatshirt is assembled in Portugal

Which makes it a completely European product.

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped does not compromise on anything.

This sweatshirt is fully recycled and made from A to Z in the European Union. The cotton fibers are reassembled with recycled polyester fibers. A touch of recycled elastane is added to give the fleece flexibility and comfort.

And since the fibers are sorted by color, there is no dyeing and a big saving of water.

Care

To respect the environment and make your sweatshirt last, wash it in the machine on a short cycle and not too hot (30°C is enough), with a natural detergent. Dry it in the fresh air rather than in the washing machine.
