Cut

We recognize the TENGMALM softshell jacket by:

- its technical and soft material: stretch and brushed on the inside

- its water repellency without fluorinated compounds

- its versatility: windproof, water-repellent, light and breathable

- its comfort thanks to the stretch fabric

- its innovative composition, more virtuous than a classic polyamide. Lagoped has designed a recycled polyamide and elastane blend for a pleasant product with controlled impact.

Layer system

Did you know ? The ptarmigan - our totem animal - changes its plumage depending on the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the fluffiness of its feathers to avoid cold spells.

The TENGMALM jacket is inspired by this: it stops rain and wind and retains body heat (more than 30°C on the surface of the skin). In extreme cold, simply add an intermediate layer for greater warmth. Essential for all your mountain activities.

To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here's the basics: layers.

- The first layer, called internal, must be breathable, to guide perspiration towards the outside of the garment.

- The intermediate layer is insulating, it helps retain heat.

- The outer layer protects against bad weather: waterproof, breathable, windproof. It is to this last category that TENGMALM belongs.

By building your outfit based on this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During exercise, you can remove the intermediate layer and then put it back on. In short, multi-layering is the basis.

Manufacture

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since Lagoped was founded, we have been in constant dialogue with professionals and enthusiasts to improve every piece. So you can gear up as well as possible, with sustainability always in mind.

The TENGMALM jacket is a softshell made with a stretch fabric woven in Spain from recycled polyamide yarns: old rugs and carpets, as well as fishing nets, made this circular feat possible. We add elastane for the garment's stretch: 10% sourced from Japan and South Korea. The jacket is then assembled in Hungary.

Circular economy

To protect the environment and your health, Lagoped compromises on nothing. Your softshell jacket is water-repellent but contains no fluorinated compounds.

It is recycled from rugs, carpets, and fishing nets: they are made of polyamide (also called nylon, although it is actually a brand of polyamide yarn that has entered common usage). Elastane is not yet recycled. But we are working with our suppliers to improve our jacket in the future.

Composition

- 240g/m² fabric:

- 90% recycled polyamide (r-PA) - yarn made in Slovenia from polyamide waste (used carpets, fabric scraps, fishing nets...)

- 10% elastane (EA) - made in South Korea and Japan

- Water-repellent, free from fluorinated compounds (PFAS-free)

- Fabric made and dyed in Spain

Care

Machine wash inside out at 30° with the zips closed, as infrequently as possible and using as little detergent as possible.

No need for fabric softener: technical fabric is not a fan.

It is best to air-dry it on a hanger.

No dry cleaning either.

Use our specific PFAS-free spray to reactivate the water repellency if needed.
