There’s a fleece you pull out of your pack at the first break and don’t put away for the rest of the day. JULEECE3 fills that role: light enough to wear during exertion, warm enough to keep you comfortable when you stop at the summit or while putting on your skis.

Brushed fleece that keeps you warm without weighing you down

The 240 g/m2 fleece is brushed on the inside to trap a thin layer of warm air against your skin, and smooth on the outside so it slips easily under a jacket. Weighing just 250 g, it’s easy to forget at the bottom of your pack on days when the weather stays mild.

A half-zip opening to regulate your temperature

The 3 mm YKK coil zipper opens the collar to mid-chest: just lower it a few centimeters during a climb to let heat escape, then zip it back up to the collar as soon as the wind picks up. The snug cuffs block drafts, and the heart embroidery discreetly signs off on the piece.

PERFORMANCES

240 g/m² fleece: warmth for 250 grams

240 g/m² is the weight of one square meter of fabric, and it’s what separates a microfleece from a thick winter fleece. On JULEECE3, this weight was chosen for active use: the brushed inner face traps a thin layer of warm air against the skin, while the smooth outer face stays compact and doesn’t puff up under a jacket. The result: a complete garment that weighs 250 g, barely more than an apple, and compresses easily into an attack pack. It keeps you warm during downtime, stops at trail junctions, and snack breaks, without making you sweat as soon as the slope steepens again. For extended periods of stillness in the cold at a bivouac, it’s best to wear a puffer jacket over it.

3 mm YKK zipper and snug cuffs: adjust your temperature throughout the outing

A fleece with no opening means having to take it off as soon as you get too warm. JULEECE3's half-zip avoids that hassle: open it a few centimeters on the climb to let heat escape through the collar without exposing your chest, then zip it all the way up to keep the back of your neck covered when you move into the shade on a north-facing slope. The 3 mm YKK coil zipper stays thin and flexible under a jacket, creates no bulk under a backpack strap, and can be operated with one hand, even with a glove on. The cuffs work the same way: their snug finish keeps the sleeves in place under your outer layer instead of riding up every time you move your arms.

JULEECE3, the second layer in the Lagoped system

Did you know? The ptarmigan, our totem animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend into the snow, it fluffs up its feathers to trap air and protect itself from the cold. It constantly adjusts its insulation to the temperature, never wearing more than it needs.

JULEECE3 follows the same principle: it’s a midlayer, the second layer in the system, designed to retain the heat produced by the body while letting moisture escape. It’s worn over a technical base layer next to the skin, and under a waterproof, windproof jacket when the weather turns. Whether mountaineering, hiking, or skiing, it’s the piece you wear all day and regulate with the half-zip rather than taking it off.

Fit & support

JULEECE3 regular fit: a fleece designed to layer

JULEECE3 comes in a regular fit, a women’s cut that’s neither tight nor loose. It follows the silhouette without constricting the chest when your breathing picks up on the climb.

It leaves enough room to wear over a technical T-shirt or long-sleeved base layer, while sitting close enough to the body to disappear under a waterproof jacket without bunching at the armholes. The fabric contains 8% elastane: it stretches when you raise your arm to reach a hold or plant your poles, then returns to shape. The snug cuffs keep the sleeves in place under a jacket, even when you pull gloves on over them.

Coupe Regular
