Layer system

Did you know ? The ptarmigan - our totem animal - changes its plumage depending on the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the fluffiness of its feathers to avoid cold snaps.

The TEETREK t-shirt is inspired by this: its blend of fibers keeps you dry for a long time and ensures the comfort of stretch.

To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here's the basics: layers.

The first layer, called the internal layer, must be breathable, to guide perspiration towards the outside of the garment. It is to this last category that TEETREK belongs.

The intermediate layer is insulating, it helps retain heat.

The outer layer protects against bad weather: waterproof, breathable, windproof.

By building your outfit based on this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During exercise, you can remove the intermediate layer and then put it back on. In short, multi-layering is the basis.

Manufacture

People often say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since Lagoped was founded, we have been in constant dialogue with professionals and enthusiasts to improve every piece.

To equip you as well as possible, always keeping durability in mind. Here’s how our clothing is made:

Here, we chose Econyl as the main material, an innovative and responsible material made from nylon waste. The material is recycled from old fishing nets, fabric scraps... The yarn comes from Slovenia, and the material is knitted and dyed in Italy.

For even greater breathability, we chose a mesh structure made with Italian recycled polyester yarn (from recycled plastic bottles), then knitted in France.

Finally, the mesh is printed in Lithuania before being assembled into TEETREK at the same factory. A short supply chain, as always!

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped compromises on nothing.

- Regenerated polyamide yarn made in Slovenia. Regenerated nylon is made entirely from nylon waste, including fishing nets, fabric scraps, and used carpets.

- The polyester yarns are made from plastic bottles.

- Elastane is not yet recycled. But we are working with our suppliers to improve our T-shirt in the future.

- Knitting and dyeing in Italy for the polyamide, while the polyester is knitted in France.

- Sublimation printing and assembly in Lithuania.

Composition

* Main fabric 145g/m²

- 90% Recycled polyamide (r-PA) made in Slovenia from polyamide waste (used carpets, fabric scraps, fishing nets...)

- 10% Elastane (EA) - yarn made in Northern Ireland

* Mesh panel 110g/m²:

- 91% Recycled polyester (r-PET) from plastic bottles (Italy)

- 9% Elastane (EA) - made in South Korea and Japan

- Fabrics made in Italy and France

Care

To take care of your TEETREK t-shirt, wash it in the machine at 30°C with regular detergent (not too much, and if it is eco-friendly, even better!).

You don't need fabric softener or anything (no bleach).

Then, gently spin and rinse normally, then dry in the fresh air.
