Cut

The TAPAKILA shirt is recognizable by:
- Its soft and comfortable flannel
- Its feminine cut: slightly cinched at the waist to be both pretty and comfortable
- Its timeless style
- Its innovative composition, more virtuous than a classic cotton - even organic. Lagoped has imagined a mixture of recycled cotton and recycled polyester for a pleasant product with a controlled impact.

Layer system

Did you know?
The ptarmigan - our totem animal - changes its plumage according to the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the puffiness of its feathers to avoid cold snaps. The PERDIZ shirt is inspired by it: its blend of fibers keeps you dry for longer than pure cotton. To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here are the basics: layers.
The first layer, called internal, must be breathable, to guide perspiration to the outside of the garment. It is to this last category that PERDIZ belongs.
The middle layer is insulating, it helps keep the heat in.
The outer layer protects against the elements: waterproof, breathable, windproof. By building your outfit according to this system, you gain in comfort and versatility. During exercise, you can remove the intermediate layer and then put it back on when you stop. In short, multi-layering is the basis.

Manufacture

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since the creation of Lagoped, we have been constantly exchanging with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip you as best as possible, always with sustainability in mind. Here is how our clothing is made: The Fil is made in Spain from recycled cotton and recycled polyester. The flannel fabric is woven in Spain before final assembly in Portugal.

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped does not compromise on anything. Here, the thread of the shirt is more virtuous than conventional or organic cotton. Recycled cotton does not involve fertilizers, water consumption, agricultural work and less carbon consumption. The soils are either at rest or reserved for food agriculture. It's better that way, right?
Concretely, 1 kg of recycled cotton allows the production of 6 shirts which will avoid:
- cultivation of 10m² of arable land,
- the use of 15,000 litres of water (i.e. four months of daily 5-minute showers)
- the emission of 23kg of greenhouse gas emissions (approximately 200 km with a small petrol car) (source: AITEX, Universitat de Valencia and UNESCO)

Composition

- 173g/m² fabric
- Yarn made in Spain from recycled cotton (r-COT) and recycled polyester (r-PET) (pre and post consumer).
- No dyeing and sorting of fibers by color.

Care

To respect the environment and make your shirt last, machine wash it on a short cycle and not too hot (30°C is enough), with a natural detergent. Dry it in the open air rather than in the machine.
Small info: the use you make of your clothes and mainly washing represents 14% of the environmental impact of your clothes.
