Thomas Rouxel - Navigator
Born in Brittany in 1982, I live in Finistère, near the small port of Doelan.
I started, like many, with light sailing with my brother near Erquy (Côtes d'Armor), and I was then taken by the open sea.
I have been racing offshore for around fifteen years. After having cut my teeth solo on the Figaro circuit, for 10 years I have been a crew member on major French and international projects, alternating sailing from solo to crewed, from small monohulls to Ultimes trimarans.
In particular, I participated in several world tours in the Volvo Ocean Race or in attempts to win the Jules Vernes trophy.
Today and for almost 3 years, I am mainly a crewmate of Thomas Coville on the Sodebo trimaran, but also on other supports depending on the schedule of the large trimaran.
Apart from my professional practice, I also spend a lot of time on the water, whether windsurfing or surfing, for fun!!
By collecting waste on the beaches that I walk every day, or by trying to share my values during the numerous meetings with school classes who follow my adventures, I am very happy to be able to continue these "small gestures" by dressing as a LAGOPED. I think that the problems of the sea and the mountains are often the same.
