Layer system

Did you know? The ptarmigan - our totem animal - changes its plumage with the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the loft of its feathers to avoid chills.
The GELINOTTE HOODIE fleece is inspired by it: it acts as a mid-layer, insulating you from the cold and regulating heat.
To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here is the ABC: layers.
The first layer, known as the base layer, must be breathable to guide perspiration to the outside of the garment.
The mid-layer is insulating and helps retain heat. GELINOTTE HOODIE belongs to this second category.
The outer layer protects against bad weather: waterproof, breathable, windproof.
By building your outfit according to this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During exertion, you can remove the mid-layer and then put it back on when you stop. In short, layering is the foundation.

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since the creation of Lagoped, we have been constantly exchanging with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip you as best as possible, always with sustainability in mind.

If recycled fleece has been available for a long time, recycled fleece in Europe... Now that's innovative! Here, the polyester fibers come from the recycling of plastic bottles in Italy, then knitted in Spain near Barcelona before assembly in Portugal.

To protect the environment and your health, Lagoped compromises on nothing.

Your fleece is recycled from plastic bottles.
