4-way stretch knit that moves with your legs

Made from recycled polyamide and elastane, its 175 g/m² fabric stretches in all four directions: your leg can lift, bend, and spread without the material pulling back. At 264 g, you’ll forget you’re wearing it after the first few miles, and its light, breathable feel keeps it from getting uncomfortably warm on sunny climbs.

Zipped pockets that keep everything secure

Two hand pockets and a front patch pocket, all with zippers: your phone, map, and energy bar stay put when you sit on a rock or climb over a fence. The belt loops accommodate a slim belt or a climbing harness without getting in the way.

RIOUPOU knit blocks ultraviolet rays thanks to its knit density, achieving an UPF50+ rating through its construction rather than an additive applied as a finish. In practical terms, the protection does not wear off with washing, unlike a surface treatment. This really matters on a day’s hike at altitude or on a ridge run, where radiation is more intense than in the valley.

Despite this, the density of 175 g/m² remains lightweight: the entire pair of pants weighs 264 g. The knit breathes, wicks away moisture produced on the climb, and dries quickly after a shower or a sweaty break, without ever becoming stiff.

4-way stretch and zippered pockets: the comfort of pants that climb

4-way stretch changes how the pants move on technical steps: the fabric stretches both lengthwise and widthwise, so a high knee lift, a wide stance on a rocky ledge, or stepping up onto a high foothold puts no strain on the legs. You no longer have to think about pulling them up or readjusting them.

For storage, both hand pockets and the front patch pocket have zippers. Nothing falls out when you sit down, bend over, or brace yourself in a corner. The belt loops complete the design and keep the pants in place without a stiff belt.
