GRAND TETRAS WARM was designed for this kind of pace, with the same technical standards as our mountain gear.

Mountain-grade protection for everyday life

The recycled polyester outer layer combines a Sympatex 20,000 Schmerber membrane with RET<14 breathability, and all seams are sealed with heat-bonded tape. Driving rain, wet snow and wind stay out, even after an hour of continuous exposure.

Details designed for everyday routines

Two YKK Aquaguard Coil 5 mm zippered hand pockets keep your phone and keys dry, an interior zippered pocket protects your documents, and the two-way YKK Vislon 5 mm center zipper lets you unzip from the bottom to sit down without unfastening the top. The protective flap closes with magnets, single-handedly, even with gloves on.

A perforated insulating fill that keeps you warm down to -15 °C without making you sweat

The problem with warm jackets is that they’re too warm as soon as you start moving. The GRAND TETRAS WARM is filled with perforated insulation: its tiny holes let air circulate and release heat as you walk, instead of trapping it like solid insulation. It has a fill weight of 133 g/m² on the body and 100 g/m² on the sleeves and hood, for comfort down to -15 °C when stationary. Think a train platform on a January morning, or a patio you don’t want to leave. The insulation is made of 80% recycled polyester and manufactured in Bulgaria. A mechanical, chemical-free anti-migration treatment keeps the fibers from passing through the lining, while the Sympatex membrane outer fabric keeps everything dry.

Seams sealed with heat-applied tape

An urban down jacket that stays waterproof in the rain

Most warm parkas stop at water resistance: water beads off for a while, then soaks into the fabric. The GRAND TETRAS WARM goes further, with a waterproof, breathable outer fabric and, most importantly, every seam covered on the inside with heat-sealed tape. Sewing means piercing the fabric hundreds of times, and every needle hole lets water in: the tape seals them up one by one. That’s what keeps you dry in a winter shower, not just under a few snowflakes. The center zip is a two-way YKK Vislon zipper, covered by a protective flap with magnets that closes effortlessly.

Did you know? The ptarmigan, our totem animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend in with the snow, it fluffs up its feathers to trap warm air when temperatures drop. It constantly adjusts its protection, never wearing more than it needs.

GRAND TETRAS WARM serves as an outer layer, the third layer that blocks rain and wind. Its special feature is that it has recycled wadding insulation built right in, so it also serves as a mid layer. In winter, all you need underneath is a simple technical base layer next to your skin. In milder weather, wear it on its own over a shirt or a lightweight sweater.

Fit & support

Regular 3/4 cut: a jacket that covers without feeling bulky

GRAND TETRAS WARM has a regular cut, neither fitted nor loose, in a 3/4 length that falls to the upper thighs. That length makes all the difference in the city: it covers your lower back when you sit on a bench or on a bus, and protects your hips from crosswinds.

A jacket to wear over office attire

The cut leaves enough room in the shoulders and armholes to slip the jacket on over a thick sweater or a light puffer without it pulling. The ribbed cuffs keep drafts out without feeling tight, and the hood adjustment at the back lets you adjust the fit depending on whether or not you’re wearing a beanie.
