Due to current weather conditions, the avalanche risk is particularly high in the mountain ranges. Several access roads are unfortunately closed, preventing our speaker, Alex Marchesseau, from safely joining us at the store this evening.

For this reason, we have decided to postpone the evening to tomorrow, Friday, February 13 at 6 PM.

4 friends, 50 days of total self-sufficiency, the Denali massif as the only horizon.

On Thursday, February 12, Le Refuge Chamonix opens its doors to a local: Alexandre Marchesseau. High mountain guide and co-author of the book The Wild Days, Alex comes to share with us the story of an extraordinary adventure in Alaska.

Far from timed performances, this expedition is a quest for long time where friendship is tested by commitment. Between doubts, storms under the igloo, and moments of grace on the glaciers, come and talk with the one who has made the mountain his field of expression and civic engagement.

On the program:

  • 6:00 PM: Welcome and friendly aperitif.

  • 6:15 PM: Expedition story illustrated with images by Alex Marchesseau.

  • 7:15 PM: Discussions, Q&A, and book signing session.

Free event with registration (limited spots).
