HEYDOMA: the sleeveless puffer jacket that protects your torso without restricting your arms

On a mountaineering climb, the cold always hits the same spots: your chest and lower back, as soon as the wind picks up during a break or when you take out the rope. The HEYDOMA sleeveless puffer jacket is designed for exactly that, keeping your arms completely free to handle gear, belay, or move forward with your poles in hand.

Warm, lofty insulation, weighing 265 grams

Its 150 g/m² recycled polyester wadding provides instant warmth, without the sluggishness of a full jacket. Weighing just 265 grams, it packs into a corner of your bag and comes out whenever you stop for a while, whether for a snack break or at a belay.

Details designed for mountain use

The recycled polyamide outer fabric is windproof and water-repellent, with no PFAS, so it can handle a drizzle or gusts on the ridge. The stand-up collar and elasticated hood keep drafts out, the two zipped hand-warmer pockets warm your fingers between tasks, and the YKK Vislon 3 mm two-way central zipper opens from the bottom without exposing your chest.

PERFORMANCES

150 g/m² insulation and 55 g/m² fabric: warmth in 265 grams

HEYDOMA’s entire thermal design comes down to the difference between two fabric weights. On one side, 150 g/m² of lofted recycled polyester insulation that traps air and keeps you warm as soon as you stop. On the other, an ECONYL polyamide outer fabric weighing just 55 g/m², light enough to keep the total weight to just 265 grams.

The fabric also provides warmth on its own: it blocks the wind, the main cause of heat loss on an exposed ridge or pass, and its PFAS-free water-repellent treatment keeps drizzle or powder snow from wetting the insulation, which would otherwise lose some of its loft. The down jacket remains breathable, so you can keep it on during an easy climb without accumulating moisture.

Double-slider zipper, stand-up collar, and zippered pockets: the ergonomic design of a mountaineering vest

The 3 mm YKK Vislon center zipper has a double slider, so you can unzip from the bottom to ventilate your stomach or access your harness without exposing your torso or neck. It can be operated with one hand, even while wearing gloves.

The two handwarmer pockets have 3 mm YKK zippers: nothing falls out when you lean over a pack or crevasse, and your hands have somewhere to warm up between tasks. The stand-up collar and elasticized hood close off the top of the garment without needing any adjustments, while the elastic hem keeps the down jacket in place when you raise your arms. No dangling drawcord, no Velcro to adjust: everything is held in place by finishes that stay put on their own.

HEYDOMA, the second insulating layer in the Lagoped system

Did you know? The ptarmigan, our spirit animal, changes its plumage with the seasons: white in winter to blend in with the snow, it fluffs up its feathers to trap air and protect itself from the cold. It constantly adjusts its insulation, never wearing more than necessary.

HEYDOMA serves exactly this role as a mid-layer, the system’s second layer: the one that provides insulation. It is worn over a technical base layer close to the body, optionally with a lightweight fleece, and slips under a waterproof outer layer when the weather turns. Its sleeveless design insulates only the torso, where heat loss is most significant, while letting the arms move freely without extra bulk inside the jacket sleeves.

Fit & support

HEYDOMA Regular Fit: a women’s down vest that layers easily

HEYDOMA comes in a Regular Fit cut, in a women’s version that follows the silhouette without feeling tight. It leaves enough room for a technical base layer and a fleece underneath, while staying close enough to wear under a waterproof jacket without adding bulk at the shoulders.

The sleeveless design makes all the difference in how it feels: no restriction around the armholes when you raise your arms, and no rubbing beneath your backpack straps. The elasticated hem keeps the vest snug against your hips and prevents air from rising up your back when you bend over. The elasticated hood fits directly over your head or over a thin beanie, and the stand-up collar protects the nape of your neck as soon as you pull it up.

Coupe Regular

Coupe intermédiaire à travers le buste, avec assez d'aisance pour superposer une couche technique en dessous sans compression. Les manches gardent une bonne liberté de mouvement pour les activités outdoor du quotidien, de la randonnée aux sorties en montagne.

Make your equipment last
