Did you know? The ptarmigan - our totem animal - changes its plumage according to the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and increases the plumage of its feathers to avoid cold snaps.

The GELINOTTE fleece is inspired by this: it plays the role of an intermediate layer, the one that insulates you from the cold and regulates heat.

To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here are the basics: layers.

The first layer, called internal, must be breathable, to guide perspiration towards the outside of the garment.

The middle layer is insulating, it keeps the heat in. It is to this second category that PHANTOM belongs.

The outer layer protects against bad weather: waterproof, breathable, windproof.

By building your outfit around this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During exercise, you can remove the mid-layer and then put it back on when you stop. In short, multi-layering is the basis.

Manufacturing

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since the creation of Lagoped, we have been constantly exchanging with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip you as best as possible, always with sustainability in mind.

If recycled fleece has been available for a long time, recycled fleece in Europe... Now that's innovative! Here, the polyester fibers come from the recycling of plastic bottles in Italy, then knitted in Spain near Barcelona before assembly in Portugal.

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped does not compromise on anything.

Your fleece is recycled from plastic bottles.

Composition

- Main fabric: 92% recycled polyester recycled in Portugal, 8% elastane made in Türkiye. Knitting and dyeing in Portugal.

- Insert: 78% ECONYL® recycled polyamide regenerated in Slovenia from nylon waste (fishing nets, fabric scraps and used carpets), 22% Lycra® XTRA-LIFE™ elastane made in Ireland. Knitting and dyeing in Italy.

Maintenance

To take care of your GELINOTTE fleece, machine wash it at 30°C with regular detergent (not too much, and if it is eco-friendly, it's better!).

You don't need fabric softener or anything (bleach).

Then, a gentle spin and a normal rinse then air dry.
