HERON: the recycled cotton bandana that goes on every outing

Some things are never really packed in advance: they stay at the bottom of the bag and come out when you need them. HERON is one of those—a simple square of recycled cotton with an all-over print, weighing 25 grams and barely noticeable in a pants pocket or the front pocket of a bag.

One square, many uses

Tied around your neck on a hiking trail, pulled up over your nose when the wind picks up in a mountain pass, slipped under a cap to keep your scalp from overheating, or worn around town without a second thought: the square shape lets you choose how to fold and tie it to suit the moment.

Recycled cotton that works with perspiration

Woven into a lightweight fabric, recycled cotton absorbs and wicks away moisture rather than holding it against your skin. That means no cold, clammy fabric after a climb, and you can give it a quick rinse in the evening and wear it again the next day, whether trekking or traveling.

PERFORMANCES

100% recycled cotton fabric

25 g of recycled cotton, the bandana you keep at the bottom of your bag

The cotton in the HERON doesn’t come from a new crop: it’s 100% recycled, spun into new yarn. No irrigation, pesticides, or fertilizers are associated with this material. The yarn is made in Spain, the fabric woven in Barcelona, and the bandana sewn in Italy. It weighs 25 g: the kind of item that stays at the bottom of your bag all season without you thinking about it, yet comes in handy more often than you’d expect. Soaked in a stream and then tied around your neck, it cools you down on a climb in full sun; folded under a cap, it protects the back of your neck; on a gravel ride, it keeps dust off the trails at bay. Its cotton wicks away moisture and dries quickly when hung out.

Placed pattern and 97% recycled cotton: an accessory made without virgin materials

HERON's pattern isn't repeated by the yard: it's placed, meaning it's positioned on the square so the design falls in the right spot once the bandana is folded or tied. It's a design detail that changes how it looks when worn, and requires each piece to be worked on individually rather than by the length of fabric.

The material follows Lagoped's founding principle: 97% recycled cotton, meaning fibers that already existed rather than a new cotton crop. Most of a textile's impact comes from extracting the raw material, even for a 25-gram accessory. Starting with recycled fibers means acting where it really matters, even on a small piece.

Fit & support

HERON square bandana: one size, several ways to wear it

HERON is a unisex square of fabric with no sizing or adjustment: how it fits depends on how you fold it. Folded into a triangle and tied behind the neck, it sits high on the neck and can be pulled up over the lower face in one motion when facing wind or dust on a dry trail.

Rolled into a headband, it stays on the forehead without feeling tight and absorbs sweat during a climb. Worn under a helmet or cap, it is thin enough not to create an uncomfortable bulky layer. The lightweight recycled cotton fabric folds without creasing, slips into a jacket pocket, and regains its shape once untied, ready to wear again in the city or while traveling.

SIZE GUIDE

Make your equipment last
