Guillaume Rolland - Paraglider
I was born in 1984 near Grenoble, but it was in Guadeloupe that I grew up until I was 18 before returning to mainland France for my studies. I was therefore not predisposed to move towards verticality and its associated sports.
It was in 2011 that I discovered slacklining, a discipline which, in the space of a year, would become a real passion and particularly highlining (practicing at height) which would then become my favorite activity.
The highline then becomes for me a vector of adventure, with the aim of surpassing ourselves and sublimating the unusual and virgin landscapes of this spectacle through our lines. This activity requiring versatility then opens me up to climbing, hiking, caving and the associated range of rope techniques.
It was in 2013 that I participated in the creation of our SDD slackline team (initially called Sangle Dessus-Dessous), a team which made its debut in 2015 with a first highline world record on Reunion Island (403m ).
Several other records and still other adventures continued to forge this team of which I am so proud.
Several other adventures to come too and sharing these with Lagoped, which displays responsible values, focused on the environment, makes us just as proud.
