Cut

The DOVE ALPS t-shirt can be identified by:
- Its total comfort and its loose fit.
- Its print on the back.
- Its material: heavier than a classic polycotton, it has a perfect drape.
- Its innovative composition is more virtuous than conventional cotton – even organic cotton. Lagoped has created a blend of recycled cotton and recycled polyester for a pleasant product with a controlled environmental impact.

Layer system

Did you know? The ptarmigan—our spirit animal—changes its plumage with the seasons. It turns white in winter to escape predators and fluffs up its feathers to protect itself from the cold. The DOVE ALPS T-shirt is inspired by this: its blend of fibers keeps you drier for longer than pure cotton. To enjoy your favorite activity whatever the weather, here's the basics: layers.

The first layer, known as the inner layer, must be breathable to wick perspiration away from the body. DOVE ALPS falls into this latter category.

The middle layer is insulating; it helps to retain heat.

The outer layer protects against the elements: waterproof, breathable, windproof.

By building your outfit around this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During exercise, you can remove the mid-layer and then put it back on when you stop. In short, layering is essential.

Manufacture

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since Lagoped was founded, we've been constantly collaborating with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip you in the best possible way, always with durability in mind.

Here's how our clothes are made: the yarn is made in Spain from recycled cotton and recycled polyester.
The jersey and ribbed edges are knitted in France (Picardy) before final assembly in Portugal.

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped makes no compromises. Here, the yarn used in our t-shirts is more sustainable than conventional or organic cotton. Recycled cotton requires no fertilizers, no water consumption, no agricultural labor, and results in a lower carbon footprint. The land is either left fallow or reserved for food production. Isn't that better?

In practical terms, 1 kg of recycled cotton can be used to make 6 t-shirts, which will prevent:
- the cultivation of 10m² of arable land,
- the use of 15,000 liters of water (equivalent to four months of 5-minute showers daily)
- the emission of 23kg of greenhouse gas emissions (approximately 200 km with a small petrol car)

Composition

- Jersey 220g/m²
- Yarn made in Spain from recycled cotton (r-COT) and recycled polyester (r-PET) (pre and post consumer).
- No dyeing and sorting of fibers by color.

Care

To respect the environment and make your t-shirt last, wash it in the machine on a short cycle and not too hot (30° or 40°C is enough), with a natural detergent. Dry it in the fresh air rather than in the washing machine.
