Police officer and photography enthusiast, Jérôme, has been a member of the Lagoped Family for many years. With his friend Jean-Nicolas, he is about to embark on a great adventure in the Drâa Valley.

Who are you?

Today, as a gendarmerie officer, I grew up in this institution thanks to my father who practiced the same profession. It was through a meeting with a man from the Briançon mountain rescue team, nicknamed Goupil, that I developed a taste for the mountains. He was able to explain to me, give me the codes, and teach me how to practice mountain activities safely and with respect for nature. From this beautiful encounter, others were born. While working for the PGHM in Luchon in the Pyrenees, I met "P’tit Louch," a mountain rescuer and high mountain guide. Since that day, "Tic" and "Tac" have rarely been apart. We were fortunate to work together at the PGHM in Briançon, where we both contributed to the safety of mountain enthusiasts, and we also used the mountains for our personal enjoyment. Both passionate about photography, we capture this beautiful nature that we love, observe, and protect. I enjoy the mountains with Elsa, my partner, who often finds herself at the center of my lens, also dressed in Lagoped gear.

Now professionally relocated to the northeast of France for a period of two years, I plan to return to this noble mountain rescue profession to serve the men and women climbing our mountains.

Your passions?

Passionate about photography, drawing, and nature, I spend most of my time outdoors photographing, drawing, and observing. This need to be on the trails is simply a need to live. The mountain gives us different colors each season, the peaks are always present but do not look the same in the following months. The white of winter, the warm colors of autumn, the green contrasts of spring, etc. To be up there, I chose Lagoped clothing to face the climate, but also to try to look good (lol). The colors, cuts, and technicality of the products offered by this innovative brand meet all the criteria I need to be outside in the mountains, in the forest, or even in the city. Moreover, it carries noble values of protecting nature that this beautiful blue planet gives us. Proud to be part of the Lagoped Family, I will be an ambassador proudly carrying values that are so simple to share: "one with nature".

Your dream?

My dream, like many people, is to no longer see wars in the world and to see humanity change by having greater respect for this nature that we must protect.

Your projects?

For the year 2025, we are heading to Morocco with P’tit Louch (Tic) to participate in the Grand Trail of the Drâa Valley (GTVD). Nearly 200km in this hostile but stunning valley known for its diverse landscapes. This small expedition will take place over a week and will then launch my participation in the Ultra Marin in the Gulf of Morbihan (56) for a long outing of 175km in shorts and trail shoes.
