To enjoy your favorite activity regardless of the weather, here’s the basics: layering.

- The first layer, called the base layer, must be breathable to wick sweat away from the body. This is the category DOVE CHAMONIX belongs to.

- The middle layer is insulating, helping to retain heat.

- The outer layer protects against the elements: waterproof, breathable, windproof.

By building your outfit according to this system, you gain comfort and versatility. During activity, you can remove the middle layer and put it back on when resting. In short, layering is fundamental.

Manufacture

We often like to say that we make our mountain clothing with you. Since the creation of Lagoped, we have been constantly exchanging with professionals and enthusiasts to improve each piece. To equip you in the best way, always keeping durability in mind.

Here is how our clothes are made: The yarn is made in Spain from recycled cotton and recycled polyester.

The jersey and ribbing are knitted in France (Picardy) before the final assembly in Portugal.

Circular economy

To respect the environment and your health, Lagoped compromises on nothing. Here, the thread of the t-shirt is more virtuous than conventional or organic cotton. Recycled cotton involves no fertilizers, no water consumption, no agricultural labor, and less carbon consumption. The soils
are either resting or reserved for food agriculture. That's better, isn't it?

Specifically, 1 kg of recycled cotton allows the production of 6 t-shirts which will avoid:

- the cultivation of 10m² of arable land,

- the use of 15,000 liters of water (equivalent to four months of daily 5-minute showers)

- the emission of 23kg of greenhouse gases (about 200 km with a small petrol car) (source: AITEX, University of Valencia and UNESCO)

- Yarn made in Spain from recycled cotton (r-COT) and recycled polyester (r-PET) (pre and post consumer).

- No dyeing and fiber sorting by color.

Care

To respect the environment and make your t-shirt last longer, wash it in the machine on a short cycle and not too hot (30° or 40°C is enough), using a natural detergent.

Dry it outdoors rather than in the machine.
