Maria Skogeng 🇳🇴
Teacher
Originally from the Lyngen Alps and now based in Tromsø, I am a Scandinavian adventurer with a passion for the great outdoors.
A member of the Norwegian paragliding team Termikk & Rotor, I identify with this new generation of female mountaineers for whom the summit is never an end in itself, but the beginning of a new story. Whether sliding on powder or taking flight, my playground begins where the trails end.
ACTIVITIES
What do you like to do in the mountains?
My daily life is paced by the elements: ski touring in winter, paragliding and hiking whenever the sky allows. I am always eager to learn new things: I am improving my rock climbing technique and my mountaineering skills. For me, each new discipline is an opportunity to discover the mountain from a different perspective.
From the Lyngen Alps to the French Alps
Having grown up in the heart of the Lyngen Alps before moving to Tromsø, I live in one of the most beautiful playgrounds in the world. I've always wanted to broaden my horizons, and when I met Candice and Lucie, we immediately clicked! Their project immediately resonated with me: I could show them my mountains and, in return, explore the Mont Blanc massif with them.

What has the mountain taught you?
The mountains awaken in me the sensation of being anchored in the present moment. However, nothing was guaranteed from the start: when I was younger, I wasn't athletic and my fears often held me back. By stepping out of my comfort zone to become self-reliant, I transformed those fears into an inexhaustible source of confidence. Today, the mountains are where I feel strong, capable, and truly happy.
Why Lagoped?
It's the choice of consistency. To explore the Lyngen Alps of the Arctic Circle, I need technical equipment in which I have absolute confidence. What attracted me was the brand's eco-responsible commitment: wearing recycled clothes made in Europe allows me to combine performance and respect for my playground.
It's proof that you can be free and independent while protecting nature.
